I need a male thread to my 177 caliber 5/40 rifle. A 22 caliber female thread adaptor sized 8/32. This is a Pro-level product that I bought With this adapter, I was able to use my oddball 5/40 male ended RWS in combination with a 5/40 to 5/40 female/female adapter. For my larger , I have a 177 cal cleaning rod. There are two types of 22 cal air guns the Pro-S, and the Ultra-S There are 5/40 male threads on one end of this adapter and 8/32 female threads on the other, so it can be used with either 8/32 male thread or 8/32 female thread. Brushes and jags for 22 cal. The threaded brass adapter is made in the USA and has a tapered edge on the 5/40 male end so it is smooth and won't damage the bore if it comes into contact with it. A cleaning rod from Outer's was purchased from Wal-Mart There was an attachment at Wal-Mart that came with an adapter for the bigger, more common cleaning rods. I could not fit the adapter into my 22 barrels without scraping them (works just fine with larger bores). It had a wide diameter, was made of steel, and had a knurl on both ends. I ordered this adapter as it met all my needs at a reasonable price. Brass material makes it easy to clean and prevents it from scratching the barrel. The Is safe for use with 22 lr guns, and I can use all my cleaning attachments with it. The 22 barrels can be used without fear of being damaged. Due to their low cost, I bought two because they were unavailable at my local local gun store or at either of the other big box sporting stores that sell guns/ ammunition, so I figured I had one extra.
