Questions & Answers

Is pumping a challenge?

Until you reach 6 or 7 pumps, it's not difficult. Still, it's not too bad.

Will it be effective in removing snakes?

I'd only use it on a small snake, and I'd make sure to use a brain shot as well. At short range, I'd also use a lead pellet instead of a BB in the gun. When it comes to accuracy, the pellet you choose is crucial. At 10 yards, JSB RS pellets, or even better, Beeman 1230 HP pellets, should produce groups of less than an inch. In the gun, BBs aren't even close to being as accurate.

Is it possible to add a scope to this firearm?

This gun can be equipped with a scope.

What kind of pellets or BBs should I use for this? How much energy is there in a pound of foot? High FPS? What is the most precise method?

Daisy Premium Grade is the product that I use. Calibre 177, 5. BBs with zinc plating, 1 grain Because this is a smoothbore, it works best with BBs, and pellets are difficult to load in the Powerline 35. I don't see why you should pay more for BBs than you would for Daisys! With 10 pumps (625 fps) for 4, my chrony claims it produces nearly the advertised velocity. 42 ft - At 7-pounds of energy, I get about an inch group. Shot from 8 yards- I haven't shot enough pellets to know if they are any better than BBs in terms of accuracy. Tom Gaylord posted on his blog about a 3/4" ten-inch ten-inch ten-inch ten-inch ten-inch ten-inch ten JSB RS pellets and 10 pumps were used to shoot a group from the Powerline 35 at 10 meters, which seemed to improve accuracy slightly over fewer pumps. The gun, however, needed to be retested by Gaylord. Daisy sent him a new gun to test after his first failed miserably.

Right out of the box, it's very accurate! It was well worth the money
5/5

I was skeptical because I grew up in the 1980s and had a lot of BB guns that I regret selling. For two reasons, I bought this.
1. Shooting with my 6-year-old daughter is a great way to teach her about gun safety and respect while having a good time. (She owned a pink daisy bb gun)br>2. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>I got home from work, unpacked it, pumped it up (10 pumps One of those annoying little buggers appeared after about 2 minutes. We were about 15 yards from the house when we sat down. SNAP! from a bedroom window on the second floor. Another critter scratching and destroying the walls has been removed. br>br>Extremely accurate right out of the box, requiring no adjustment. It appears that getting the AR- isn't necessary. With the red dot removed, you get a score of ten.

Despite the fact that it is a good bb gun for the price, I am not a fan of this gun for three reasons
3/5

This is just my personal pet peeves, but I'm sure most people would enjoy it, and it's a good gun, so don't interpret this as a "don't buy it" rant, but rather as what I'd change and why I gave it three stars. One gripe: unlike a classic lever action red Ryder or most real guns with a manual safety, you can't just turn it on whenever you want. To load the chamber, you must pull the lever/bolt? on the side, which will then allow you to put the safety on. I usually keep my bb guns not pumped or chambered with the safety on, but full of bbs, so I can just grab it, pump/cock, remove the safety, and shoot, but you can't do that with this gun! Either there is no chamber and therefore no safety, or there is safety but it is chambered. In my opinion, it is not the safest because you could pump it 112 times and still be at risk of firing because there is no safety until you chamber a round. Even air can cause injury under enough pressure, and if a bb falls into the tube or becomes jammed, you now have a loaded gun with no safety until you chamber a second round, which will finally allow the safety to be activated! 2 can hold a small number of BBs, such as 50? Basically, every 10 to 20 minutes, you must reload. 3 The "oil here" spot appears to be a crap shoot at best, unlike other bb guns that have an obvious hole or loading gate. I'll just oil everything to be safe because it's difficult to tell where to oil. This gun appears to be well-made and reasonably priced; it looks cool, has some power, and it shot through a beer can full of water, coming out the back on three pumps at a distance of 20, 25 feet. It's fairly accurate, makes a cool sound when fired, and would be an excellent bb gun if it weren't for my three issues.

Friends Don't Let Friends Shoot Pellet Rifles with BBs
5/5

Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever Shotgun with a barrel. It's not good for the bb's accuracy - It's possible that it'll make matters worse - As those steel bbs wear down the rifling, the accuracy of your pellets will suffer. Instead, opt for the PL35, which is solely for bbs. Smooth bore, big magazine, quick reloads, adjustable sights, and just the right size I've shot 1000 rounds through it and have had no problems or issues; it appears to be sturdy and well built, but I only use it for back-up. Shooting targets from the porch. I'm not sure how it'd hold up to the abuse it'd get from regular outdoor use, especially from kids. A low-cost, dependable way to have fun with bbs while also extending the life and accuracy of your dual-mode transmitter. rifle with ammo pellets br>Reliability: br>Reliability: br>Reli This gun makes 2-shots when seated at 45 feet and using Daisy zinc-plated 0040 with 5 pumps. All day long, 3 inch groups were easy to come by. It's a fantastic tin-type tin-type tin chaser with a can.

Daisy's best-kept secret is most likely this
5/5

This is an excellent BB rifle. 1. br>br> Because the 35 has a smooth bore, it's ideal for BBs. Because the 880 is rifled, it is best suited for pellets.
2. Pumps very easily, and I prefer the short-throw pump lever to the longer-throw pump lever on the 880.
3. It gradually increases in volume without making a loud clacking noise.
4. It has a shorter pull length, but I can still shoot it easily despite being 6'2" tall.
5. The rear sights can be adjusted for windage and elevation. A white dot appears in the front sight.
6. The weapon is small and easy to maneuver.
7. It has a dove tail on top that can be used to mount scopes.
8. With BBs at 6-inch range, the gun is extremely accurate. It has eight pumps and works well with pellets, but it is essentially a BB gun.
9. Cleaning the manufacturing grime out of the barrel before shooting is simple thanks to the open breech design.
10. The dove tail is found on the majority of low-cost air rifle and 22 rimfire scopes.
11. Shooting from a resting position, prints good groups at 15 yards with Daisy Precion Max BBs. You should keep track of how many pumps you have because one extra pump can result in a flyer.

The quality of the product is insufficient to allow it to function
3/5

As usual, USPS was DAYS late, but that's to be expected now, according to my postmaster, based on their workers. He claims they have an IQ of no more than eighth grade. I have faith in him. It worked for about 50 shots before the cocking lever broke. br>Unfortunately, it's just cheap junk. br>It was never even fitted with a scope. br>I'm well aware that these are now almost entirely made of plastic, and I'm fine with that. br>I work in the "plastics" industry, and I can attest that many modern polymers are more durable than the old cast zinc used in BB guns. br>Unfortunately, this is not the case here. br>I'm in my fifties and have experience with firearms. br>I'm disappointed, but I can't imagine what a 10-year-old is going through. It's such a pity. br> br>On top of that, I have to deal with the United States Postal Service's complete incompetence. br>It's a complete mystery why they're still in business. br>As my postmaster puts it, carriers now have an average intelligence of an eighth grader. Exactly. br>.

It's reassuringly precise and enjoyable to use
5/5

For cheap bb gun rifles, these are amazingly accurate! The best part is that you can put up to 50 bulletin boards in the "pre-" section. Simply tilt the gun to allow one bb to "attach" to the clever little magnet at the mouth of the chamber, then pump the easy-to-use pump. Pull the trigger after using the lever two or three times (maximum of nine or ten times if you want absolute maximum power/range). At 30 feet, three or four pumps is more than enough for 1 inch grouping accurate target shots. Target shooting or plinking cans (it goes right through) is a lot of fun thanks to the design. This book comes highly recommended.
