Amazon has a great deal on this pelet gun
5/5

It's been a few weeks for me, but it's March in Michigan. Every day is cold and windy. Winds between 12 and 20 mph. I experimented with iron sights, but since I'm 76 and have bad eyes, I settled for a cheap 3x9. Crossmans pellets are the best choice for nearly 90% of crossmans. I experimented with four different flavors. Crossmans wad cutters worked best, as did the 1250 count milk carton from Amazon for $13. 99 . Even in gale-force winds, I was able to gather small groups. I scoped the stick stuff, but the wiggle continued. It didn't make a difference because the shot was fantastic. I always spray a very small amount of any Pam sprays into a tin top and put in 100? Slowly. Swirl them around before dumping them into the trash can. This has worked for every pellet gun I own, which number in the hundreds. There are up to 177 of them. 50 can. I used a 7-pound stock for the trigger pull. For a special occasion shooter or younger people, this is a good choice. My spring was 2 1/5 pounds when I cut it. br>If my fat pal hears me shooting, she'll come running up to me, begging for saltines crackers. Whether I'm shooting from 15 yards or 45 feet away, the dots I aim for are a quarter inch in diameter.

Crosman continues to be a force to be reckoned with
5/5

First and foremost, I must emphasize that this is not a toy for anyone. Having said that, this pistol is a great deal of fun to shoot. It has enough power to hit targets at a great distance with pinpoint accuracy. You can also adjust the degree of potential shooting power because it can be variably charged using the manual under-barrel pump. After only pumping it a couple of times, I wouldn't mind shooting this pistol indoors with BBs as long as there was a viable backstop in place. Because of the potential for particulate lead, I would not recommend using pellets indoors. If you want full power, pump it for the maximum amount of time recommended, and this pistol will become potentially lethal. With this pistol, I've killed a lot of small game in a humane and clean manner. Allow children to pick up animal crackers or Oreos (biodegradable and difficult targets) in the open air. Maybe wait for the cookie crumbs to be eaten by squirrels. You'll never guess what's for dinner on that particular night. This model is referred to as the The 177 caliber version is especially appealing because you can plink with BBs for very little money and hunt with it. With the same pistol, I fired 177 pellets. The . This pistol also comes in a 22 caliber version, but you're limited to that caliber. ONLY pellets with a caliber of 22 can be used. With these pistols, not a children's toy, proper gun safety and etiquette must be strictly adhered to.

A once-great Multi Pump that is no longer up to par
3/5

After reading a comparison, I've decided to go with the Multi Pump. Over the, 177 cal. 22 cal, and I decided to buy it because of the low price that Amazon was offering "exclusively for Prime members. " For several years, I've owned the Crosman 2289 "Backpacker" model, which has proven to be of high quality. However, I can't say the same about the P1377BR model I bought on Amazon, and I'm starting to wonder if there's a reason it's so cheap. br>br>This Crosman "feels" cheap, and the pump mechanism isn't nearly as smooth as my 2289 model. Some aspects of the "feeling" can be improved. I already replaced the hand grips with higher-quality grips, which helped. To replace the cheap-feeling forearm, I've ordered a "Wood Backpacker 2289 Fore Arm" from eBay. Even though the shape of the Backpacker Fore Arm will contribute to a smoother pump, it will not solve the fundamental problem that the internal mechanism is not up to par with my expectations. br>br>April 15th update: I replaced the For Arm with an ebay-purchased "Wood Backpacker 2289" model, staining it to a pleasing color. This not only improves the gun's appearance, but it also improves the pistol's pumping action. Because the wood is so light, there is no discernible weight gain and there is less risk of pinching fingers while pumping. br> Since my purchase, I've noticed that the price of this model has increased significantly, and it's no longer advertised as "exclusively for Prime members. " Perhaps Amazon is now selling this model through a different channel that adheres to higher standards. As a result, I would advise paying more attention to recent reviews.

Great pellet gun, almost perfect, and the pistol I got was excellent
4/5

There were no scratches or blemishes on the product when I unboxed it. When I examined the barrel, I discovered that it was in excellent condition, with no rust and no visible grooves running against the rifling, as I had discovered in some of my other Crosman barrels. The front sight is slightly out of alignment and cannot be adjusted, which is the only real flaw I can see right away. This was not an issue for me because I had a steel breech and a 4x32 Simmons scope installed. If you're buying this gun to use with the open sights, however, you might find this to be a problem, or at the very least an annoyance. In any case, it's the reason I gave this gun a four instead of a five star rating. With the breech and scope installed, and aside from the front sight, this gun is a laser beam. I also installed a rifle stock I had leftover from another project, and right out of the box, I was shooting RWS field line pellets into the same hole at 20 yards. I must say that I am very pleased with this purchase, and apart from a minor front sight misalignment, I see no flaws. You won't find a better value for money than the 1377 if you're looking for a good starter pellet gun or a platform to modify and build upon.

Get it! This is the type of range I have in my basement
5/5

I only have one pump that I use. This is sufficient for a distance of 25 feet. One pump, according to everyone, was insufficient to eject the B. not true- Even so, it's still 185 frames per second, which is excellent for a distance of 25 feet. Compared to my Daisy red Ryder and Daisy 340, this gun is incredibly accurate. They're entertaining, but they're not as precise as the 1377. Everyone warns you against buying one because you'll want to customize it. It's correct. In my head, I'm already rummaging through the scrap wood pile and designing new grips. I'm looking forward to taking it outside and seeing what 10 pumps can do.
