Questions & Answers

Are you able to seed this in the frost?

Frost seeded annual rye grass does not flourish in this seed blend of 80 % annual rye grass.

What is the best time of year to plant this ?

The Lowe's and the Highe's will be added. In the event the temperature is more than 110 degrees then I am considering planting food plots. There's no such thing as a wrong way. It's just me

As far as I am concerned, deer will devour all growth before it gets a chance to develop. If there is no food, there are ?

Throughout the season, Mario*br>, the food grows fast and you are able to see the deer all close to the end. I found the solution to be helpful. Make sure you throw it on a day when it's raining so it sinks into the ground more quickly. I am confident you will like it. I hope this was helpful.

Is this plant perennial? Do I need to plant it every year? Would I have to plant it every year or would I be able to keep it year-round?

- it does not return This would not be used by me at all. Animal feed made from OATS and WHEAT should be used

This is a great product
4/5

In late august, I planted these and let me tell you, they grow and the deer devour them. By doing some common sense, getting a soil test, and throwing some lime or 10-percent fertiliser down, you'll see some great results As long as you are in the top 10, you will have great My food plot has been eaten up by deer, and when they move through it, it looks like they've mowed the lawn. Earlier this year, I planted a food plot in a trench in the far back woods. It is in an old creekbed that crosses A little tree cover protects it, and it only gets sunlight for a few hours each day The stuff grew so well, even though I left it alone for six hours a day. As part of the work, I raked up the whole area, and roughed it up My next step was to put the lime in a hand spreader (after laying down some lime) and get It came up strong within three weeks after I did all this prior to a rain storm passing through. Added to that, I used some weed killer to prepare my food plot before planting, and that helped prevent any weeds from eating up This is a plant I've bought twice already, and I plan to plant it again this Having a food plot is one of the easiest things I've ever done, and it's already made me lots of money. I have attached some photos I took of a food plot I planted on the stand of a good friend, I did not even lay down any lime or 10-percent sand Even at a little over 10, it managed to take hold and grow I will be purchasing this again in the future. My only wish is that we could have some throws Soybeans are so good!.

Put seeds in the ground instead
3/5

In reading the instructions, I realized I would be better off just till my area and throw regular seeds down in the spring. To prepare, you should weed kill your area a couple of weeks prior to your garden opening. It is best if you add lime, fertilizer and this product at the same time. When I tilled the area, I added fertilizer and the Throw and Grow at the same time. I was looking for something to throw over my previous year food plot and forget it about Rye Grass is about 80% of the mixture, and we all know that diluted Coyote Piss is about as effective for attracting Deer as Rye Grass is. In a bowl, mix some clover and oats with it. As we wait, we will see what happens. Let me know if you get a bruiser on cam so I can.

You can really see it growing! This was one of the few foods plot materials I could find that could be planted in an area with minimal sun exposure, and it seemed to stand a good chance of success
5/5

It did not matter to me what instructions the package had about PH testing and fertilizer spreading. As I only had a small area to plant (10x15ft), I had to layout the plants into small groups. The only thing I did not do, but I strongly recommend was to spray the area with a vegetation killer or something like Round Up 2x. Over 3x the previous two It's a good idea to clear the area before planting three months in advance. The area was raked with a garden rake to remove any leaves and debris and the top two to three inches of soil were scratched up. The amount I used was about one A small Scott's spreader allows for the spreading of 2 cups of seed over the area (an entire bag will cover a quarter acre). In addition to the Miracle Gro, I sprinkled a generous amount of regular Miracle Gro over the plot after the seed was spread. I flipped the rake to the smooth side and raked the plot gently to ensure good seed to soil contact. After two weeks of replanting, I have about four inches of Rye Grass growing! The following points should be kept in mind The plant needs a FEW hours of sunlight to grow. There is a package that says some number such as 4 I may only get 6 hours of sunlight a day, but my area wouldn't come close to meeting that requirement. Although my findings were not very thick, they were better than I expected, since my predictions were not as thick. What was that all about? The following two pictures will be uploaded In the first, the plot is shown in general, and in the second, it is shown close-up. I took these pictures two weeks after planting the seeds. Several more shots of miracle grow were applied in this area and I will continue to monitor it for two.

I am disappointed
3/5

A person walking and spreading a seed in an out-of-the-way spot with vegetation was shown in the advertisement, stating that there would be no tilling. After reading, it turns out it has far more depth than it appears in the advertising. After you have killed all the vegetation, clean the dead vegetation from the area, rake the ground, cast the seeds, and drag the area, you will need to drag it once more. There seems to be more to it than just sowing seeds. I am disappointed.

I hear you

Tilling still needs to be done. There were no leaves to grow when I didn't till. As soon as it spread into the till areas, it came up very patchily, and I applied it liberally. As the new year approaches, I'm going to mix my own celebration This should improve as time goes on.

Getting better and better! Was already an inch tall after one week
5/5

Getting better and better! Was already an inch tall after one week. You almost had to throw it out to see how it grows. We did not use lime or fertilizer we just moved the dirt around. We are very dense woods with little sunlight, so we are not sure how the deer like it yet. It is very easy to grow though.

GRASS SEED IS WAY TOO MUCH! It is far too full of filler - Rye grass seed makes up about 80 percent of the I'm not a fan of this for deer food plots!

I put down two bags on a 1/4 acre plot -- a lot more than the label suggested -- with minimal success.
