What is the condition of the blank metal sheet?

This item has not been treated with heat. To make cutting and working with it easier, it has been annealed (softened).

Is there a specific temperature and time for which I should cook it?

You need to heat it up to about 1200 degrees in order to harden it. Test the hardening by placing a magnet against it. If it does not stick, you are at the stage of hardening the material. Once it's tempered, it's put in the oven at 400 degrees for 2 hours (you do this

Exactly what they claim it is. This steel is tough as nails. The knife I bought was my first attempt at making one. I first cut the piece to shape with a fresh blade on my band saw before joining it together. With its teeth gone, the band saw barely scratched the D2, losing all its teeth. In the case of my angle grinder, I did the job the saw couldn't. A lot of these things are barely touched by files. There are a lot of problems associated with it.

I really like the way D2 works for me. Very happy with my purchase and would definitely order again. So that I don't have to grind so much, I wish they sold it in 1/16".

There are many benefits to using this product. A crack does not appear and the structure is dimensional. There was no erosion or rust on any of the parts.
