Questions & Answers

The screw is rusted and in poor condition. I'm in desperate need of a replacement, preferably something more long-lasting. ?

The original screw is still in use by me. I used Permatex brand medium threadlocker to install my SwissQlip. Then I tightened the screw, taking special care not to overtighten it. After a long period of use, Certainly, there has been some mistreatment. It's still in good shape; I believe the cheap screw serves as a convenient weak link, preventing the knife from being damaged. My SwissQlip-equipped knife is my daily carry, and I use it frequently at work. So far, the screw hasn't broken.

Is it compatible with the Evo Grip 11?

Yes. br>After it's installed, you'll need to use tooth pic to remove the tweezers.

It appears that it will make the hook even more difficult to open than it already is. Does it?

I don't believe that opening it will make things worse. Any 91mm Victorinox thicker than two layers, in my opinion, is too bulky for my tastes. Just to be clear. I use a two-layer model for the SwissQlip. No hook. My three-layer models are kept in a belt sheath with no clip.

Why don't you make one for the larger knives?

We're working on it. Thanks!

Not exactly the best situation
3/5

1 The bottom seat isn't made of metal and is instead made of plastic. One star has been deducted. The seat on the bottom is far too thick. Hanging clothes is a pain. One star has been deducted. It costs less than $ 15 to purchase. It's all right.

Two of my three knives were able to be accommodated
4/5

Aside from that, excellent. If it worked on all of my 91mm Victorinox knives, I'd give it five stars. Unfortunately, it isn't compatible with the knife I'd like to carry with me all the time. Troubleshooter is a term I use to describe someone who helps people solve problems. Although the eyelet is in the correct location, it is of a slightly different shape and position, so this clip will not fit. br>br>Oh well, it still works on my other two knives, so it's not all bad. It arrived quickly and is a high-quality piece of equipment. br>br>One thing to keep in mind for the manufacturer: it might be a good idea to knurl the inside of the clip where it comes into contact with the scale. I'm concerned that the knife's scales are too slick, and that the blade isn't secure enough. I'm worried it'll fall out of a bookbag or molle webbing when mounted sideways or even upside-down.

With this clip, I've nearly lost my tool a few times
3/5

In the short week I carried it with the clip, I almost lost my Multitool several times due to the loose fit. In an attempt to mount it, I stripped the screw. Metal that is less expensive and/or has a lower strength. The lack of grip on the pocket is due to the smooth clip on the smooth side panel. I removed the clip, and now the screw is stuck in the hole, which I am unable to remove at this time.

Ok
3/5

But it isn't perfect; it is. ok. It's not snug enough to keep the knife secure in your pocket, especially if you're wearing something looser (i. e. , a T-shirt). khakis rather than 501s). It's also possible that it's a little bit deeper. It would be great if they could make one for the larger SAKs, such as the Forrester. Those knives require more clips than the mid-sized knives. Another issue is that it prevents one of the scale tools (the tweezer or the toothpick) from being used. ) So, it's a great concept, but it could be improved.

The only "add-on" option, but it's a good one
4/5

The SwissQlip is convenient for me because it keeps my Victorinox Tinker, which I use frequently, close at hand. On a SAK with more than three layers, I would not use the SwissQlip. All it will do is form a bulbous lump in the corner of your pocket. So far, the SwissQlip has stayed in my jeans pocket clipped in. It will, with some effort, bring the clip to a halt. Otherwise, the pocket hem does not quite fit into the clip all the way up. Despite its flaws, I find the SwissQlip on my two-layer SAK to be a very useful tool. I had my doubts about how the SwissQlip attaches to the 91mm Victorinox at first. I put a lot of wear and tear on my gear, and the SwissQlip hasn't indicated that it will be replaced anytime soon. Failures to break down.

This is a fantastic clip for the Swiss Army! This is how I used it with Tinker
5/5

I was concerned that because there is only one mounting screw, it would wiggle or twist. br>However, it is designed to stay tight to the body and does not wiggle. It looks fantastic on you. It will be more difficult to remove whatever is on the side being mounted (toothpick or tweezers). br>I keep the toothpick on the other side and use it to push the tweezers out when I need them.

It makes carrying a S A K a lot easier
5/5

Has nearly perfected my EDC!I used to carry a SAK but stopped because I kept losing it. I went to a Leatherman Charge Tti, but the SAK tweezers, pin, and scissors were not included. With the pocket clip, you can now carry a SAK explorer and a Leatherman Skeletool (you'll need the three screwdrivers - see below). Phillips, slotted, and Robertson 2) are two names that come to mind. It cost $70 to ship to New Zealand, and the knife was only about $90, but I'm glad I can carry it again, so it was well worth it to me. Ordered on the 9th of January, the package arrived on the 17th of January in New Zealand. I'm pleased with myself.

I wouldn't buy it again unless it was redesigned to be more secure in the pocket
3/5

Since installing this, I've come close to losing my Tinker SAK five times. Even with heavy-duty tires, it just doesn't have enough grip. Jeans and Carhartts are examples of such fabrics. While it's simple to put together and made of good materials, it lacks secure pocket retention. br>br>The issue is two-fold. fold. The single-parent family The attachment point isn't strong enough, and the "plinth" beneath the eye is too tall. Surprisingly, the "gap" between the plinth and the knife scale is more secure than the clip portion when in use. Regrettably, the gap only works with light-weight pants. Suggestions for SwissQlip. br>br> Make sure everything is in working order. Increase the clip's spring tension. Perhaps some kind of silicone should be applied to the clip.
