It's super nice, firm, smooth, and super sharp for the money. It fits nicely in your pocket, isn't too heavy, and is nearly perfect. It comes with a zipper padded pouch to carry it in if you want to throw it in your backpack for camping, etc. I got mine in army green.
At work, this knife is used on a daily basis. It has a great edge retention. Even if you barely try, it flips out completely every time. It has never failed to deploy in my pocket for me. When it's closed, it's fairly secure. For everyday use, this is a fairly large knife, but it's exactly what I needed. ***additional information: 1 year of daily use**
I still believe in everything I've said thus far. It's an excellent knife that keeps its edge and only deploys when necessary. The pocket clip has been the source of all of my problems. It has bent several times, so I take it out and re-bend it. Also, before I could remove it, one of the screws that held it in place stripped through the plastic. To get new screw holes, I switched which side of the clip was on. After about a month, one of them was stripped. It is caused by the clip being pushed sideways in your pocket during normal everyday activities, not by the torque applied while screwing it in. The screw threads are small and shallow, and they don't grip the plastic very well. So I gave it a 4 out of 5 star rating because I still like the knife but not the pocket clip.
His go- I bought this as a present for my husband and he loved it. It is something he adores. He employs it on a daily basis for a variety of purposes. It's a staple of his EDC gear. When he cooks, he even uses it to chop his vegetables! That's how much he adores it. One of his favorite knives for the price is this one. He owns other knives, including Spyderco, but this is his favorite and is used on a daily basis.
I opened a package and the edge bent slightly. br>I'm 58 years old and have carried a utility knife in my pocket for 35 years, switching back and forth between buck folder and utility knife. I've never injured a knife without immediately realizing it. br>The folding and opening mechanisms are faultless, which is disappointing because I had high expectations.
When I opened the box, the liners matched the scales, and nothing was loose. Materials: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> For the price, it's a good buy. br>Ergonomics: My hands are of average size, so it's perfect. There are a variety of ways to hold it, all of which are useful. br>Pivot: a pivot point is a point where two or more things come together. It's broken in nicely; it flicks open with little effort, and there's no slop when it's open. br>Edge of the Factory: Quite harp, to be sure. Why three stars, then? br>br> It's just not substantial enough. On the other hand, it doesn't feel cheap or shoddy. When it comes to pocket knives, I believe I've been spoilt. Years of carrying ZTs, Emersons, and other similar brands could have tainted my perception. br>br>I don't have the confidence in this knife to use it as hard as I do my others. However, this knife did not cost $200. It cost somewhere between $40 and $50. As a result, three stars may be excessive, and I am aware of this. I intend to continue to use the knife until it either proves to be more or proves to be garbage. I'll revisit the review and make any necessary changes. br>br>Oh, how I despise the tip- The pocket can be switched from right to left, but only in the up position.
For my edc, I have a large selection of pocket knives to choose from. I always seem to reach for this one. I prefer it to my Spyderco para3 in maxamet, my giantmouse, and other knives because the action is so smooth and the cuts are perfect. I was a little concerned about the 9cr18mov because I'm used to super steels, but it has pleasantly surprised me. It maintains a good edge. Overall, this is, without a doubt, my all-time favorite pocket knife. You will not be sorry if you purchase it.
Civivi, I'm really enjoying this. Excellent size, smooth action, good sharpness, wide blade, perfect centering, and high-quality fit and finish There is no blade play or lock rock in this game. It has a nice feel to it in the hand, and you can use the choil if you want. I can't say enough good things about this knife. . . and yes, I have it in a variety of colors and blade finishes. All of them are appealing to me. I wholeheartedly endorse it. Have fun!.
So, I just got this knife out of the box, and it's really nice looking and smooth. The finish on the knife is excellent, and it feels solid and free of play. It's simple to open and close. The blade geometry appears to be excellent, and it is already sharp. It appears to be slicey, and despite the large blade, it is actually quite thin from the cutting edge to the spine, so I'm looking forward to trying it out. Oh, and it came nicely packaged, with a box, a nilon zip up storage case, and a large polishing cloth, whereas with the $200 benchmade I just bought, I didn't even get a storage case. What an incredible bargain. If this one is built well, I'm sure it won't be the last one I get from Civivi.
