Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
Dirt, dust, or debris are not attracted to dry lubricant.
When applied wet, the lubricant and metal protectant are micro-bound to the surface.

Moisture is displaced, and rust is inhibited.
Other household items such as tools, hinges, keylocks, and fishing gear also work well.

Questions & Answers

Is this a good way to store router bearings?

It would, in my opinion.

What's the difference between this and kpl or blue lube?

It's entirely up to you. If you're doing hard work in a dirty, dusty environment with your tool. Then make use of tuf- Glide dry film lubricant to prevent it from becoming clogged with dust and dirt. If you're looking for the smoothest action on a pocket folding knife and you're working in a clean environment, blu-tack is the way to go. lubricate the pivot/bearings with a small amount of grease. br>br>On my pocket knives, I personally use both. I'll soak the entire tool, handle and all, in tuf glide after I service/sharpen my folders. It will coat all surfaces with a lubricant that will lubricate and protect against corrosion and debris buildup caused by sticky moist lubricant. However, I will add a single drop of blu-tac to the mix. lubricate the bearing/pivot for that silky smooth action we all enjoy. Of course, I make certain that all excess blu-ray film is removed. lubricate so that it attracts the least amount of dust possible

I have a crkt homefront with teflon inner washers, a metal blade, and other features. ?

I can assure you that it is risk-free. It's a Microtech butterfly knife with brass and Teflon washers that works perfectly for me. I've been collecting tactical folders for more than 20 years, and I've tried a variety of lubricants. Due to the tight workings and double sets of springs to both open and close the knife, Double Acton out the front autos can be temperamental. Tuf Glide is the best all-around lubricant I've found. In the knives I mentioned, it never gums up or thickens. You don't want a knife to fail to work (or open in this case) when you need it the most, just like you don't want a gun to fail to work when you need it the most. I carry a knife for self-defense, and I rely on this lubricant to keep it in perfect working order. No, they don't send me free samples, and I'm not employed by them. I simply want to be able to stand behind a product that does not disappoint me. Please accept my apologies for the lengthy post; I am well aware that I am a verbose individual.

Is there a specific cloth I should use to wipe a knife with?

It doesn't matter what kind of fabric you use. br>Also available is the Tuf - Cloth that has already been washed Tuf is a type of treatment that is used to treat a variety of conditions. Glide.

When wet, it sticks like hell, but once dry, it glides like a dream
5/5

I noticed that this lubricant caused a number of people's folding knives to freeze up in the reviews. I tried it on my Kershaw Leek, which I carry every day, and it felt like I had just glued the action together. I was extremely dissatisfied, and I intended to add my voice to the chorus of dissatisfied customers. However, once the lubricant had dried to a film the next morning, I'll be damned if my Leek wasn't flipping better than it was when it was new. It's now snappy and slick. To open the blade, you barely have to touch it. br>br>Curiosity got the best of me, so I greased up the vinyl window glides as well, and by golly, it worked. I coated my D2 steel knife with a film from this to help with rust prevention, and those damn windows flick open just as easily as my knife. br>br>PEOPLE, LET IT DRY OUT. Contrary to popular belief, it is preferable to be dry.

Update: For some reason, the tip became clogged
3/5

Update- For a while, this oil was great, but then the tip clogged for no apparent reason. I didn't drop it, bend it, or poke it in any way. Because it appeared to be so delicate, I was always extra cautious with it. I simply put the rubber stopper and plastic cap that came with the package on. br>Once clogged, I tried using a needle, tweezers, and compressed air to clear it out, but it didn't work. So now I'm down to about half of the oil and have no choice but to pour it all over myself through the opening that wasn't meant to be a spout. br>It was fun at first, but now it's just a pain and a mess. If you like getting oil all over your knife because you're applying it with a toothpick like a caveman, this is the one for you. /br>br>Original assessment- br>I really like it. This tiny tube has served its purpose admirably. I put a drop or two on each knife in my collection, and it still appears that I have the same number of knives as I did when I started. br>br>The thin applicator needle does an excellent job. br>br>However, make sure the cap isn't smashed or the tube isn't bent by accident. If thrown into a toolbox carelessly, I could see this happening.

This is fantastic! If the needle clogs, which it will, all you have to do is hold the vial upright and light the needle
5/5

It will only take you about 3 seconds to complete this task. You'll hear a sizzle and possibly see a small flame for a fraction of a second. It will now be free of clogs. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude.

Is it better to use lubricant or a cleaner? both? I bought this for the pivots and inner workings after using tufcloth on my rusty knives
5/5

After doing some more research on this pen, I attempted to cancel when I discovered that some people were having problems with it when using it for pivots. Regardless, it was sent, and I'm glad I now have it. br>I used it on my leatherman skeletool, which has been stiff to use since purchase, particularly the pliers. I started working it in with the tuff glide pen after dropping a few drops into the pliers. The filth inside- between began to rise and then began to drain. After a few more applications of tuffglide, there was nothing left. It now works very smoothly, and I no longer need to open the pliers with both hands! br>br>I've used it on my edc mini grip, and it slides open VERY nicely once the grime is worked out and excess blown out with compressed air. It's better now than it was when I first purchased it. br>br>I'm very pleased with this pen, and it should last a long time because a little goes a long way. 4 drops is all it takes to coat a Becker bk2 blade. And that's a lot of paint.

Consider this: I bought two of these to use in emergency packs and situations
3/5

I tried one as soon as they arrived, and it was fantastic. On a fishing trip to lubricate a fly reel, I tried the second (when I really needed it). The liquid did not come out of the applicator. When I needed it, I had to remove the cap. I returned to the tube and found the following information: The side on the actual tube was obstructed by something about a quarter of an inch into the tube, but the dispensing side was clear of obstructions. I needed to transfer the liquid to a new applicator tube. It is unquestionably not value for money. To make it easier to use, purchase an 8-ounce spray bottle and pour the liquid into smaller applicator bottles. I strongly discourage you from doing so.

This is a fantastic precision tip that only takes a few seconds to execute
5/5

This oil is fantastic, and the precision tip is especially useful. Because it comes with a tight red cap (which you should not lose), it does not leak. There is very little that needs to be done. I first used it to lubricate my pocket knives. It seems to work best with a Tuf cloth, which also helps to prevent static, friction, and rust. That's an optional item to purchase, but it's essentially an upgraded eyeglasses cloth. Update; br>br> I used a small amount of this on my moon roof yesterday to keep it from squeaking when it closed, and it worked like magic after a few runs back and forth. This is something I really enjoy. You only need a few drops in the right spot and the tip can really get to it.

When you need to apply something with extreme precision! My Dad's old garage still has a half-used oil applicator, which was a real throwback
5/5

I'm looking for a complete one that's been around for at least 20 years. I also tossed out a nearly empty one that I'm pretty sure was the same one he used when I was a kid, 40 years ago. It's always nice to come across something like this that hasn't changed, given how much has. Because it's already perfect for what it does best, and there's no need to change anything. If this were a pen, it would be considered ultra-modern. The point is well made. While 0. When compared to a regular 4, a 25 oz capacity seems insignificant. When you compare the amount of oil dispensed by the regular container to the amount dispensed by this one, you'll see that 0. The needle-free 25 oz will last for a long time. The oil is applied to the desired location using an applicator. including those in recessed areas Without the usual mess or waste, the fact that it's in the form of a pen makes it even better than a larger can with a fine-tipped applicator. It can be used in tight, difficult-to-reach places because of its small size and high precision. A very specific and effective product that's been around for a long time and will, in my opinion, continue to be around for much longer.
