Inside the raised area of the lid, the dimensions are 1412 in. X 9in. However, inside the area you're asking about, there's a raised Yeti logo in the lower left corner.

Is it possible to stand on it or use it as a small stepstool?

You can stand on it without a problem. This thing has routinely supported a 6'3" 275lb man standing on it with no problems; yes, you can stand on it.

Is there a tie-down kit that can be used in the truck bed?

So your tie down won't slip, there are tie down guides on the top of the lid? You can tie down from the back to the front or from the side to the side.

Small solid gearbox with a lot of strength

The case is nice and sturdy, but it could be a little bigger. It's a great case for storing miscellaneous small items, knickknacks, and the like. I intended to use it for storing small items like knickknacks and snacks, but not for storing larger items like boots, compact rifles, and hunting gear. For comparison, I've included photos of a YETI 45 and a Rambler Half Gallon.

I was completely taken aback by my first impression

I got it, opened it, looked at it, and then registered it right away. This thing is fantastic! Wow, wow, wow, wow, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, You can tell the difference in quality. I almost didn't want to be in awe of it because I wasn't sure if it was made in the United States, but after checking the bottom, I was overjoyed—MADE IN THE UNITED STATES! YETI, you did a fantastic job. Super- gratified I can't wait to get some patina on this baby because it's heirloom quality. In addition, if you've been saving stickers, this appears to be ready-to-use. made for your vinyl stickers, with a nice contrast to the charcoal! Stoked!.

She has a lot of stuff in it. For the back of her SUV, this is the ideal little supply box. It appears to be indestructible. It isn't huge, but it holds a lot more than you might think.

It's pricey, but it's well-constructed! My father gave me an ammo/hunting box from the 1940s

It's cool to be old school, but it's not practical in today's world. I spent a lot more money than I anticipated; However, it is a very well-made product, so if money isn't an issue, go for it. If you have buyer's remorse after making a purchase, I'm sure you can find something cheaper.

Very strong, heavy-duty latches, nice size, and portability

I'd prefer side handles that look like the Yeti cooler handles. Also, if the Loadout Box could fit snugly on top of my other Yeti, that would be ideal. It's almost as if a top mount for Yeti cooler lids could be purchased.

HANDLES ON THE TOP ARE MISSING - OTHERWISE, IT'S AWESOME! I use it to store my two pistols, ammunition, and other items; the only thing missing is a top handle for carrying

The box was reported to be smaller than expected in many reviews. I'd say the opposite is true; it appears to be the size I expected and true to the advertisement. The purchase has exceeded my expectations.
