If your belt is the 2 1/4, usually it will fit tight on there plus the items on your belt will also help keep them in place (weapons, duty pouches, ect).

I am using these belt keepers, which measure 7 3/4 inches long, and they are perfect for my 2 1/2 inch duty belt.

I like this because it doesn't have to be adjusted if I run the battle belt over a jacket rather than attached to a belt. This is an unconventional use of them, but it is working well.
In fact, I used these just last week in a Practical Shooters Safety Course. During the mission, I had to draw my weapon, move, and reload on the move, all while staying on target. I needed to be able to keep my shooting belt in place. A great job was done by these two 1). Do not unsnap Tightly held on to my 1-inch gun belt with my 2' gun belt. These were for the police belt of my son.
The belt keepers are a nice replacement for a few I lost. They are reasonably priced, work well, and are long lasting. I have not removed them yet at the end of my workday, but they are sturdy and stay closed until I remove them. It is highly recommended that you purchase them!.
The durability of these keepers depends on how well they perform once I switch to a nylon duty rig from leather.
It is the most durable belt keepers I have ever bought! The group doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
Not recommended for use on GI web belts. Made of good materials, but will not work with old style GI web and grommet pistol belts.
