The inner belt (also known as the garrison belt) is worn over the pants belt loops just like any other belt. It's a foundation. The outer duty belt is attached to the inner duty belt without the use of belt loops, first with Velcro and then with the four belt keepers that connect the two belts. Depending on how much gear you'll be carrying on your duty belt, you might need more keepers to keep it in place and keep the gear from moving.
Except for my radio carrier, which is a non-standard size and larger, and even that isn't that bad, all of my duty gear is "standard" sized and works well with this belt; no noticeable "play" on any of it.
Despite the fact that the belt is adjustable, I wish I had gone down a size.
No, I do not believe that is true. I ordered a size smaller than usual for each of my guys. I wear size 32 pants and can fit into a small if I stretch it out a little, but a medium is perfect; I think the large would be too big.

I'm an armed bank guard looking for a better alternative to the shoddy gear provided by my employer. I gave this product a try and am more than happy with it. As it stands, there are 11 products, so I was confident in the brand when I purchased it. I'm not disappointed as usual; the inner belt is perfect, and the outer belt is fantastic, especially with the space-saving clip; I'm 5'10" and weigh 165 pounds, so I need as much space as possible to carry my gear. The keepers are about as solid as concrete in terms of design and function, and the best part is that I don't even need to use them; the Velcro between the inner and outer is so strong that you don't even need the keepers; I discovered this one day when I was lazy and late and forgot to put them on. There were no problems.
I really want to enjoy this, but there are a few issues. 1. br>br> It's difficult to find an interior and exterior belt that fits well, as other reviewers have pointed out. The exterior belt is perfect for me, but the interior belt is a little too small for me. I'm debating whether or not to order a size up. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The belt keepers are a very poor/awkward design; simply discard them and replace them with something else. br>br>While these may appear to be minor details, a duty belt should be straightforward. I intend to keep it for my armed security work, but I'm not particularly impressed. I had hoped for more from the 5. 11 brand.
I have a 31" waist and purchased a medium belt, which I eventually downsized to a small. If it weren't for the belt keepers, which are a pain to use, I'd give this product five stars. Having said that, once the keepers are closed, they are very secure. However, it can be a real pain at times.
If it doesn't fit you perfectly, you'll have to return it. Despite being made in China, the belt appears to be of high quality - The fit, on the other hand, is a disaster. Because this belt is unlike any other, it's a must-have for any fashionista. Because there is no "slack," no loop through which to thread the other end and tighten it, the belt must be a perfect fit for your waistline or it will be useless. The longer belt velcroed to the underside of the front belt is the one that will go through your pants loops. br>br>I've heard that going down a size is a good idea. After following this advice, I bought the Medium. For me, this turned out to be poor advice. This belt can *barely* go on after squeezing it in as much as possible and positioning it a little too high above my waist, and even then, it's too uncomfortable to wear for more than a few seconds. I'm 6'2 215 lbs, size 36 but sometimes fit into a 34, and this belt can *barely* go on after squeezing it in as much as possible and positioning it a little too high above my waist, and even then, it' To put it another way, it must be returned because it is useless to me. I'm worried that the next size up will be too big. This is the unfortunate problem with a belt that is made to a specific size; it's simply not worth the hassle of trying on multiple sizes and going through the return process again and again.
It arrived on time, complete with the outer belt, inner belt, and four belt keepers that were promised. It has a small buckle, which is great because it allows you to fit more gear in it. The inner belt is thin but strong enough to hold the outer belt in place, and both belts have Velcro to keep them together. The belt keepers were a pain to put on at times, requiring a lot of force to get them to snap together, but at the very least I knew they wouldn't come off. The belt's nylon is a heavy-duty martial arts material. I used it in the rain and snow, and it performed admirably. If my company didn't require only leather duty belts, I'd still wear it every day, but as a training/drill belt that can take a beating and still look good! There have been no reactions to the purchase of this belt.
They're also insanely strong, despite the fact that they only come with four belt clips.
