Diaphrams are available in many styles and brands. The diaphrams I use here perform just as well as others, and they are quite affordable. Until I tested them out, I had been left with an unpleasant taste in my mouth (no, it wasn't Having a plate on these does not seem to make it easier or harder to blow, but it does protect the reeds a bit. It never hurts to keep a couple of calls in your wallet (you never know when you may need to talk to an elk), and anything that enables you to make the call longer is welcome to me. In no way to bash the competition, i have found the carlton's to be the best and most inexpensive diaphrams I have used. However, if you can find these on Amazon for the price listed here, you are getting a great deal on some pretty nice phones. A reminder of the update on There is a price increase of around $20 for these calls. Such a high price isn't worth it to me. While they sound and work okay, there are a lot of calls that will take care of the same problem for half the price.
I am able to make calls more easily than I can with Carlton. Great calls! I like them a lot. My set of Carlton calls don't seem to work as well with my mouth shape. I found it difficult to make bull and cow sounds with them. My favorite call after trying all of them is the blue call because of its versatility in bugles and cow cries. However, I'm sure each of them has its own strengths and uses depending on the situation. I use my case for a few calls, but it is a little noisy in my shirt pocket with only a few calls in it.
My first calls were these and I'm pretty pleased with them. This is a terrible thing. If you are looking for a Rocky Mountain elk call/ Elk 101 or Phelps, you are it. We can offer products that are 1000x better.
No big deal. It is my expectation that you will be able to use diaphragm calls effectively when you speak. This starter set is decent for learning. Give it to my boys so that they can learn.
Excellent choices. To get these calls to work correctly, you'll have to practice a bit, but that can be mastered with a bit of patience. The products I bought are the same type I used before, so I got what I expected when I bought them. A hunter who is keen on hunting would benefit from these products. It is the smallness of these calls that makes them beautiful. As you walk along the forest trail, you can keep one in your mouth so that you seem like an elk moving through the forest. Bulls love this. Using these signals, I have called them in to within 10 to 20 yards.
There is a tone of elk calls in my head. It is my first attempt at I have tried many calls so far, but those were by far the easiest. Since the beginning of the year, I have been practicing for 30 minutes every day. In order to keep up with the cows and bulls on the show, I purchased some elk hunting dvds. There is an idea to be as close as possible to the pitch. Along with more practice and patience, the confidence to act in such a way should be something that will help in the upcoming season.

Those calls were great. So I'm familiar with them, as I've used them for turkey before. There was no way I could make the black one work for me, love or A slight bend did not help at all it was still too tight. They were a lot easier to use and much better than the previous calls.
