Questions & Answers

Red Stag is this something that will work for them?

If you have Elk edition, you should be able to use it.

The antlers of a caribou will this work? Thanks a lot?

That will be the case. believe the base of the antlers looks very similar to that of an elk, so taking care of this should be a piece of cake.

Do fallow deer respond to this treatment?

I don't know, but this would not be a purchase I would make again, it does not look good on an elk

A small bull moose can you use this method?

This is an extremely realistic replica of an elk skull.

You'll have to put in a lot of work to make it look the way you want it to
4/5

The rating of this is a bit difficult for me. The antlers had to be ground down to the right angle to ensure that they were in the right position. It is both possible for the brow tines and main beams to touch if the plastic is not altered. Furthermore, the filler that was provided wasn't enough, so I had to purchase more. Having spent hours fiddling with the antlers to get them how I wanted them, my next problem was that the plastic was too white and didn't The problem was fixed by using some sandpaper and Rust-Oleum Matte French Cream spray paint. Due to the fact that it is more expensive for the elk compared to the deer, I rank it very low on value for money. I still give this four stars based on its overall score. I had to put some effort into the final look, but it was worth it. I think it's a slightly overpriced product.

Awesome! There are no words to describe how happy I am! My decision was influenced by some negative reviews
5/5

There are a couple of things to consider. It will take some time to get the mounting right mounting large sheds is tricky. Although some people complain that the skull beetle is too white, if you have it cleaned by a taxidermist or done by a taxidermist the color will be very close to this. You will know that this product is unusually bright if you usually bury your skulls or leave them outside. The screws on this thing are easily stripped so I wish there were an extra screw or two included. The best choice you can make if you have the time, space, and patience to devote to this.

This skull works great and is well made
3/5

This skull works great and is well made. Deer skulls are one of my favorites and I have quite a few. As far as the elk skull is concerned, the holes in the pedicle are not symmetrical so the manufacturer didn't line them up in the correct manner. As a result, the final outcome is a mess The deer has been antlered. Taking care of the drill holes on this skull is a pain in the butt when the sheds need to look realistic. A high price tag is also associated with this product. The price should be closer to $59 than $99 A 99 or even a 69 might be appropriate There is no such thing as a 100 dollar bill.

Once the project is completed, it will look very nice
4/5

The picture here really shows off the sharpness of this camera After it is completed, the result will be a great-looking product. I used it recently, and found that it was quite a bit more challenging than the deer version I also used. In spite of that, it is still easier to boil a skull than it is to boil a fish. For a European mount, I often spend at least four hours boiling and scraping down the skull, but this process only took me about an hour and saved me a lot of trouble. I found that both this skull and the deer version of this skull were severely flawed in that the primary screws used to hold the head on were excessively large. Taking them apart is difficult because the threads are very aggressive, so they are difficult to screw into. It would be highly beneficial to have a dremel tool on hand (as it is recommended in their instructions) for adjusting the angles of the pedicles to achieve the optimal position of the antlers. As a whole, I was quite pleased with the results.

It's great for getting rid of Sadly, I found this set in spring 2018 and it looked like they had been around a year
5/5

We went through the antlers multiple times with coffee grounds and finished with a light clear coat. We then used steel wool to remove any really shiny spots from the clear coat. As a guide where the holes need to be drilled, I used the skull cap to draw a line between the antler and base of the skull cap on a dry erase board. This told me how wide I wanted the holes.

It looks so freaking awesome when everything is said and done that I'm giving it 4 stars
4/5

It looks so freaking awesome when everything is said and done that I'm giving it 4 stars. Despite my best efforts, I did not attempt this alone! It takes two people to complete this task! Take your time and think this through. An ink-tipped drawing pencil was used for marking drill points. The mark was aligned with holes in the skull plate and held up for the second By scuffing lightly on the nose bridge and cheek bones, brushing espresso (yes, coffee!) on the skull, and lightly tracing the sutures with charcoal pencil, I weathered it.

Achieving the same effect as the original is pretty tough
3/5

I've given it 2 stars since it's pretty much the only thing that does what it's supposed to do. While it is almost impossible to match the original spread, angles, etc. , and can definitely tell the product is fake due to color, lines, etc. Maybe with the new CWD laws (which is why I bought the product in the first place), more and better products will start to emerge.

I'm okay with it
3/5

I am okay with that I did not like the way the colors are very white and not Several of my European mounts are from Europe. Although the caulking is useful, there is not enough product to complete the task. When you don't have a good clamping system, it is actually very difficult to ensure that the beams are positioned correctly and aligned.
