The calls are stiff at first, but they become more flexible with time and use. I also like how they appear to use a much more durable latex than another model I've tried. Time will tell if this is true, and if they can withstand more use so that they can be used for longer periods of time while hunting.
This reed set has been in my possession for a decade and hasn't changed. For outfitters, I accompanied elk hunters on numerous hunts. These are excellent elk reeds, and I plan to use them for many years to come. Hunters who use reeds and grunt tubes should definitely consider them.
They're fine, but I'd prefer a call that I don't have to perfect for hours. I'm still messing with them, trying to sound like an elk rather than a dying turkey.
Elk calls in a good set. To see how to use it, go to YouTube. It takes some practice to get it to fit your mouth properly. However, once it has been properly fitted, it is not difficult to use. However, it necessitates a significant amount of practice.
When shooting, it fits snugly in the cheek area. There isn't any hard plastic to obstruct your view. Sound quality is excellent, and the interface is simple to use. Elk, turkey, and goose can all be used. It only takes a few calls and some practice to get it right.
None of them seem to work. I've tried a few different brands, and these are by far the least appealing.
I have a plate of teeth that I can't use because there isn't enough room in my mouth, and the plate is too pointed for it to mold to it.
Calls from the diaphragm are particularly effective. They're made of aluminum and can be tuned.
