Questions & Answers

Could you give me a breakdown of how it's made up? I'm having trouble finding it on the Whitetail Institute's website. ?

It is easy to grow and the deer enjoy it. Ryegrass, clover, dwarf rape, bolero peas, oats, wheat, radish, romaine lettuce, chicory

Is it okay to plant this along the edge of a field? And how should I prepare the ground if it has never previously been used for a food plot?

Planting near the field's edge is acceptable. Before seeding or drilling, it is recommended that the soil be tilled.

How much of the seed is broken down into a percentage? I don't want anything that's made up of 80% rygrass. ?

Not sure of the percentage of ryegrass but’s’s’s’s’s’s’s nowhere near 80%. This was a big hit with my deer. I took out a nice buck who was stuffing it into his face. You will not be dissatisfied with this purchase.

Although this is not my favorite WTI product, it will suffice in the late season
3/5

I've tried five different whitetail I products and this is by far the least favorite; I only got grass and no deer. My Winter Greens and Clover plots did fine; I limed and fertilized them, but they are essentially just green grass that has never been eaten. In November of this year, 8 2018 they did eat any of the non grass items but grass is 80% of the plot grass is 80% of the plot grass is 80% of the plot grass is 80% of the plot There will be no more. Next year, I'll add some clover to my Winter Greens. There was a lot of low-cost grass seed, as evidenced by the price. Update March 2019: We received snow in mid-November, and once the snow was on the ground, deer ate everything. After most food sources have vanished, this is most likely a good late-season plot.

Ideally suited to a small-scale murder mystery! I was able to till minimally, and things started to grow quickly and start to look very impressive within a few weeks
5/5

I'm excited to see how this will look come fall! Obviously, the seed will benefit from as much rain and sun as possible. At the end of a logging road, these photos were taken. I'll buy it again without a doubt. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The turnips and radishes are almost finished growing. I can't say enough good things about this product, and the photos speak for themselves.

It must be exposed to direct sunlight
5/5

This crop was planted in two places that were not 200 yards apart. One received 4 hours of direct sunlight per day, while the other was shaded by a moderately dense canopy of leaves. The one hidden by the trees has done almost nothing, whereas the one exposed to the sun is thriving. At this location, I've seen more deer this year than any other. The Bowstand crop is the only difference.

This is a fantastic product that the deer adore
5/5

They seem to enjoy it so much that they eat it all while on camera at your hunting location, but then leave before you arrive. Thy swell to a nice size! br>Excellent value for money - It would be much more expensive if a deer had to go to the grocery store and purchase his or her own food.

There was no such thing
3/5

Other plots next to it with different brands came up fine, but I purchased three Whitetail Institute products and none of them came up.

For the bow stand plot, this is an excellent product
5/5

Planting in difficult-to-reach areas has never been easier with this product. Only had a rake, and it's thickening up in a more open area of the woods.

It is not eaten by anything
3/5

This was ordered for my husband's food plot, but no one eats it. We bought a few bags, but my husband won't buy it again because we have a lot of deer in our field, and they never seem to be eating in the food plot.

Planting is simple, and the plant grows quickly
5/5

I purchased two 5-gallon jugs of Plot Start by Deer Grow and sprayed some after raking to correct an A 4. 5 SOIL PH, then broadcast the seed in my poor man's plot, and within a week, clover was sprouting! WI has the best seeds; they're the only ones I'll ever use!.
