While tungsten weights are fantastic for most applications, I would rather lose these than tungsten weights at a buck a piece. No one wants to intentionally lose tackle, but lets be honest, these are pretty much designed to be lost.
There is a weight on these dropshots. Do you compress? Are there frictions? What's the deal with the clip? It doesn't matter. The line is fed through so you can adjust how much line is between the weight and the hook. Then, you pull it up and the hook stays in place. Hence far, I have not experienced any issues with the weight slipping off prematurely, and when I got snagged the other day, it held up well. Several things could have gone wrong, but I remember pulling it out before it broke the line. I have no doubt that the weight would have slipped off as designed instead of breaking the line. In the future, I'll buy different weights of this product.
Several quality sinkers and swivels are included in the kit, and they're exactly what I needed for drop-downs They are made in the U. S. , too, and they are used for shots and other fishing accessories. I am very pleased with this product and will definitely purchase more items from Reaction Tackle in the future. In terms of value, it is extremely affordable.
The work is well done. The lines work well and they come in a bunch of smaller bags which I quite like, so they aren't thrown all in one bag. Good value and they are in a bunch of smaller bags which is nice. It comes with a tight clamp on the top that makes it extremely My anticipation for catching a bass now is high.
I don't have any complaints about lead weights because they are not very difficult to make Besides wanting more 3/8 ounce weights than the lighter ones, nothing speaks to my dislike of this product. It's not that big of a I apologize for my complaint. Unfortunately, the hooks are cheaply made, though I should have known better. Fish lost at the boat after being hooked by the first smallie. There was a break just under the barb on the hook. I'd never caught a fish on it before and it was not a giant fish by any means. Upon realizing the hooks were bad, I disposed of them and used quality ones instead.
You can't beat the value of this product. Whether you are going to fish with tungsten or saltwater sinkers depends on whether you are fishing in areas where you are likely to have snags that lead to rig loss.
As with the product design, it is not so easy to get caught up and works great for jigging drop shots. If you have a chance, you may wish to check out the jigs from these guys.
They have the line cinch end on the lead weights. You can get them at your local tackle shop for 5x this much cheaper, but they are pretty basic as well. As of yet, I am unable to notice any difference.
