I would like to thank Mike for his assistance. A spinning reel of 8000 size has a large capacity and is very large in size. The 8000 size) are engineered to fight large fish, and the added line capacity allows you to fish in depths up to 200', and still have plenty of line in case a large fish starts to 'stripe' line on the In order to withstand wind-induced line pulling, the larger reels have drag systems designed to minimize line loss when hooked up to a big Generally, a reel of the 1000 size has a very small capacity for spooling. Fishing for smaller species of fish would involve using a 1000 size reel, although some anglers have been known to catch large fish with reels in the 1000 and 1500 sizes.
It's hard to tell what you mean when you say that the bail got How does your bail get stuck and are you able to open or close it? One of the two units I ordered had a spot where the spool would get stuck as it reached the top of the reel when reeling. It was too limited of time to try and swap it out but they both handled a heavy week of mackerel, amberjack, and shark well without a hitch. Anglers used braided lines of 90 lb and heavy rods of 5 ft. If you have used the device extensively in saltwater, you should clean the internals well after breaking it down.

I can't imagine how a 2500 could handle 30 pounds. An engineered 4000 casting 30 pound braid has terrible casting performance. The reels I use most often have a diameter of 4000 and a braid of 10 pounds. A 6000 reel holds 30 pounds of catch and I have been able to land sharks over 100 pounds each time. About 200 to 230

Surf fishing is one of my favorite activities in Delaware, USA. By using this reel, coupled with 50lb spider braided line on a 12 foot Uglistick, I can catch fish as far as the United Kingdom. Because of the reel's gearing, I can retrieve fish fast. One of the fans of Manchester United was recently seen drunk in that stadium. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to send him back. My mantle would have looked incredibly cool with him above it. I agree with you that this reel is fantastic. Fish will come to you with this, and you can cast a long way with it, and retrieve fast. I highly recommend this gear if you are going fishing. Nevertheless, if you're planning to drive to the beach and just chill with music like most people here do, then you are going to have to find another beach. The Penn Battle II 8000 reels we're using here are for fishing. Sand is something you can find on your own.
In the end, if you're tired of breaking lesser reels or having them fail at the most inconvenient moment, the Penn Battle II is a great compromise between price and A range of the Battle II machines in 2000/4000/5000/6000/8000 came to my attention and I honestly believe they were well made and well constructed. It is a solid product The only problem would be if the load was too heavy The only freshwater rinse required after a fishing day is at the end of the day. I have HT drag on all of my Battle II reels and this reel is the cheapest reel that I have that has it. With its 100 drag system, it's a solid addition to the Penn line. The choice is yours from 5000 to 9500. If you like to throw baits and wait for big drag screaming strikes, select one from the range. There are four series of 8000s. My recommendation would be to stick to the smaller 1000-sized lures if you are into lure throwing With weights of 5000 and up, there is a significant increase compared to the 4000 series. The Penn Battle II is a great reel for the price. There are much better reels for more money, but at the current price point, it is hard to find one that is better It is the 4000 and 6000 that are my favorites. The Penn Fierce line is recommended for people who rarely fish, but still want quality for a lower cost. It only gets a 4 star review due to the weight, they could have done a little bit better in the entire range for the intended use. The attached photo shows my Penn 6000, which has seen many sharks, rays, and other big fish and only needs a fresh water rinse at best and an annual maintenance and recharge I have greased my hands a lot because I use them heavily.
For a season, I used this regularly and it was very useful I landed a lot of fish with it because of its smooth drag. Using the manufacturer's recommended cleaning and maintenance, I cleaned and maintained the reel. We experienced a failure within a few months of expiration of the warranty after only one season. Due to my experience, I do not recommend using this reel regularly if you fish occasionally. If you need a reel to catch fish occasionally this reel may suite your needs.
Despite this, however. As a result of reading a number of positive reviews, I had high expectations for this reel. In the months following, my first impression was not nearly as impressive as I had hoped, but it was still awesome enough to convince me to keep buying it. My expectations were high, as I expected it to be better than all reels below its retail price. I have an Abu Garcia Pro Max SP30 reel and I can tell you that the SP30 is smoother and more solidly built than Afterward, I applied a drop of super reel oil to the spool and handle bearing and it flew like a kite! It is really a pleasure to work with you. I think the higher spinning ratio of 6 is one of the most noteworthy features of the PB II 2000. The spinning reel possesses this feature, which not all spinning reels possess. The reel will be paired up with an Ugly Stick Elite 6' 6" Ultralight rod (which I also purchased from this site at the same time) and I intend to spool it with Kastking Copolymer 6lbs/0 line. In the field, I will provide more commentary after testing 2mm line.
When I bought this reel 2 times, I thought it was a coincidence that the first one became sticky on cranking in fish which was brand new out of the It was serviced and in the mean time another was ordered. Unfortunately, this time I got hosed again, leaving me with the same problem. There has never been a time when Penn quality was There will be no more Penns from.
It is based on the 3000 model. Surf fishing is not something I have any experience with, but I am very familiar with fresh water fishing. 109 dollars was the cost of the 3000 series. On the island, we meet a lot of nice people, drink, and cook over fire. Every once in a while, me and the boys camp on the island. It has been a long time since I went surf fishing, but this year I wanted to do it. My fishing excursion began after I checked all the materials I would need to purchase. Due to the fact that I will be doing surf fishing in addition to my normal fresh water fishing, I wanted to make sure I had a quality reel. There are a lot of species of fish down in Assateague, such as drum, trout, bass, and croaker, so I wouldn't expect to catch anything that's over There was a sense of capability on this reel. As far as the reel was concerned, I didn't give it a second thought. Concerned more with how my line would hold and how my rod would hold, I was more concerned with the line I used. Although my equipment went through, here are some points I wanted to bring up There was a reel on the screen. In case there are any beginners out there that know they will really be fishing consistently, let me tell you If you don't need the top-of-the-line, then you can get by with the second-best In the - Fishermen use products to line their lines. You may want to look into an inexpensive spinning reel, but don't go cheap out of the convenience of quality equipment. If you plan to continue fishing, this Penn Battle II 3000 spinning reel is a good choice. Once the necessary updates have been made, I will share them.
The reel I created is exactly what I was looking for. The retrieval has been flawless and I've been able to hold my line up to a 5+ ft shark that hooked it, and I have also been able to use my spiderwire stealth 30lb braided line with no problem. A live bait shop owner I visited in Myrtle Beach told me that he uses this reel on his charter boats and that it is what he has for sale in his shop. The 3000 is the best combo reel I have ever used. In addition to freshwater use, I also like to swim at the beach with it. The reel I am recommending is exceptional.
