This feathered bird chain is a great tuna and mahi lure, but it's not designed to go fast. It's best to troll between the ages of six and eight. 10 knots is a good speed, but a little faster would probably suffice. Thanks

I read the reviews before buying, and some of the "fisherman" who reviewed the chain claimed the hook was of good quality and suitable for offshore species. This is simply not true when it comes to tuna and other seafood. The hook is a complete waste of time. REPLACE THE HOOK WITH A HIGH-QUALITY ONE OF YOUR CHOICE; however, do not simply replace the hook. The entire chain needs to be re-rigged. MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ MJ.
I'm not sure words can adequately express what this teaser is capable of. My first one was a huge hit, so I ordered a second one. I'm not joking when I say that I mean a great deal! It kept getting hit every time we went offshore trolling, and then we lost it to a wahoo the time before the last. The toothy fish took a clean bite out of the teaser. That was the only thing. In the foreground, on the left, was the main large bird. I placed a second order, which ended up wrapped around the bill of a sailfish. I'm going to order five more of these and keep them on the boat as backups. This teaser, my friends, is fantastic. It was absolutely fantastic. It is an investment that you will not be sorry for. This teaser is a Godsend for everything from bonita to chum for blackfin tuna to billfish. Thank you to the person who created this teaser!.
In the keys, I've been tinkering with this quite a bit. Running this in the back, I've had a lot of mahi/tuna hits. After 20 minutes, a wahoo bit through the line and stole my hook, but I've replaced it and it's still working. I'd rather get the tuna bites and risk a random wahoo biting through than use heavier/wire line and miss my tunas.

Perfect for the big tuna off the coast of South Jersey. Capemay Canyon heavy leader string color looks nice now, but I'll let you know if it bleeds or not.
I got my first bite, the reel screamed, and I went to pick up the rod when the crimp gave out. It was only a matter of seconds before I'd lost $30. If you have or will get this, inspect the crimp and possibly redo it yourself.

Overall, great black fin and bonita fishing lures, but the lines chewed up after two hits, wishing for a stronger line.
