Almost nothing, in fact. I follow them with a bucktail and gulp and catch a lot of fluke, as well as the occasional blue or holdover striper. They are my favorite.
I use a 3/0 hook and 30lb of line. Attach the teaser to a three-way swivel with flouro. This leader is approximately 6" in length. Then I tie a bucktail to a 12" 30lb. line for the bottom. flouro. leader. Then connect your line to this rig.

These Holographic Teasers are a must-have for bottom anglers looking for Fluke! I use them on a tandem Bucktail rig with a dropper loop tied above the bucktail, as well as a 3/0 baitsaver and a teaser. The teaser is usually hit by the fish. This teaser has been very successful for me. And you can put it to a lot of different uses. It is well-made.
It was used to spruce up rigs for headboat excursions. I was using 50lb mono for the leader, and when I used a dropper loop, the hole was a little too tight. I purchased another set after it caught fish (black sea bass). I'm deducting a point because it appears to be a little flimsy (parts of it fell off after one use).
Gray is a good way to draw attention. It does not come with hooks, so keep that in mind. If you're fishing for flounder or rockfish, use a gulp swimming mullet as a trailer.
I . It was a hit with the sea bass, so I ordered more. I couldn't tie these with a dropper loop using 50lb fluorocarbon leader, so I had to switch to 40lb.
John Skinner, I appreciate your efforts.
On these, I've caught a lot of fish.
As a result, seabass is attracted to it. As a fluke teaser, it exceeded my expectations. Seabass are also attracted to this plant. For bay and ocean fishing, it has become my "go to" lure.
