In the end, they would not sell me a silicone version since it defeated the purpose of stretch and use as a spearfishing band. I searched on Amazon, saw this product, and realized that it was much cheaper on Amazon. I had no idea it was It was a pleasure to use my 5' pole spear in the water, and I got to try it out As I tested different loads, it did not push my spear toward fish at all. It did not stretch or pull my pole back in order to shoot forward. As I remember our conversation, the sales rep at the spearfishing store thought they could get away with selling wrong bands when I told him that I had spoken with the store rep. My heart is truly broken. My day trip to spearfish ended with a huge school of fish swimming right in front of my face while I was spearfishing. The store sells fake crap and you will be wasting your time if you shop there.

A second band will prolong the life of your first band. Putting your bands in the freezer will keep them from cracking.

It was noticeably thinner in gauge than the one I replaced. Would benefit from a little more thickness.
