Although I thought it would be an easier fix, spending 20 minutes on a hot day sweating and struggling just to remove the broken cord took most of my energy. It had wrapped around the shaft that needed to be pulled out to untie it, so I needed to pull it out. In any case, changing it was not an easy job, so I am glad I bought the best replacement product (I think) because I never want to have to replace it again.

In my particular application, that is a problem. An enormous problem is that a piece 15 feet long is over 4 inches long. Definitely Kevlar. I wonder if it is really made of this material.
