It is best to use hard rubber rather than steel.

There is friction. Simply push the staff onto the end of the staff after standing it down a bit. They're used once a week in a class, and once a month I pull a little on them to keep them in place never fall It may be possible for you to glue them together

This is our compromise after my wife said she did not want a real spear tip on our flag pole. She was afraid that neighborhood kids would impale themselves. It's good for me, it's good for her, and the trolls down the street are safe. We are all winners in this situation.
It is of great quality and at a great price. A spear training head for such a low price is quite remarkable. If you haven't purchased them yet, I recommend you do so because you never know when Cold Steel will discontinue them.
It is ideal for sparring or practice. Be sure to wear protective gear since these things can still cause injury even after being blunted completely.
Flexible to a great degree. Our team has some new fighters who have no Tennis ball allows for more control and exercise than a tennis ball only. The pain isn't too bad and it's not a heavy weight. It was a simple process to install.
