My curiosity was aroused after reading the "great" customer reviews of how spacious the inside is and that a man standing 6' plus tall could get comfortable in there. I didn't open it up and check it out, but it arrived in reasonable time (1 week). When I finally got time and had a chance to check it out, I was very disappointed. As described, it was not what I expected. It was difficult for me to fit in it, and I am 6' 3". There is no possible way for two fishermen to fit in here with their gear. As soon as I put my chair and fishing tackle inside, I found it very difficult to move. My only possession at this point is a red "thing" that I hope to sell someone "UNUSED". As long as I get at least $100 out of it, I'll be happy.
As ThunderBay was a brand I didn't know, I decided to give them a shot. This was the best thing I could have done! That's what I love about it - My 6'3 frame can fit four men on the buckets easily, I can stand up and fish inside without a problem, and I can deploy it in less than Winter memories that I have inside my pop up happen most often. Facebook Likes - Setup and use are simple, easy, and of a good size. Like-the bag is too small for the ice house. Dislike-the bag is too small. When the weather is warm and dry, the bag seems to have plenty of space but the condensation will freeze and will not fit into the bag if you use it in cold weather. The problem becomes much more severe if you have to haul it across a lake by foot. Even though it's 4 stars it is still a kick butt shelter, and as long as you're quick or not in zero degrees it is perfectly functional.
There's nothing better than an ice tent like this. It blocks the wind without a doubt. Your buddy heater adds a nice touch to keeping you A person standing in the center who is over 5 ft 7in tall would probably not be able to fit into this frame. There are four of us with two of them being very small. It is snug but comfortable for us. Pops up and can be taken down very easily.
The tent is very nice. Despite my husband being over six feet tall, it was a very large room.
This is the only year I have used it, but it is great. Three people can fit comfortably in this room I'm using the zippers with 4 guys, and they seem to be holding up well. Next winter, I will post an update.
Easily erectable and disassembled, this chair is spacious, warm, and easy to store. would like the ability to control the light coming from the outside, because I prefer the interior to be I am very pleased with this.
For the price, this is the best pop up tent you can get for ice camping. You can set it up in minutes, and it is easy to take down.
