Questions & Answers

My model is one in which the doors are on the opposing corners. Can you tell me if there is a special sku for that or if this item is not available?

The door on the opposite side of this shelter is not offered in another SKU.

For this model is there an option to order a separate floor?

Honestly, I am not sure what to make of I don't have a floor for my model!

Is it possible to use it as a regular tent in spring or Irish weather without the ground mat? Where can I buy the rubber ground mat for sealing out the rain?

I don't know how we can do this type of work with insulation in any seasonal weather but very cold. The majority of the tents I saw when I started camping did not It's kind of a pain to deal with fleres. When it rains, you don't have to worry about mud and muck on your shoes because you are going to forgo the tarp and Leon, and if you dont have a floor at all, you can just wear your sneakers for walking around. Being able to live without a floor is convenient in many ways. As well as the benefits, there are some disadvantages as well.

If the zipper is in the interior of the carrying bag, what is its length and width?

There are perhaps 18 to 24 inches across and about 5 feet high. My 15 year old son can carry it on his back, and he is about 6 feet high

This is not a waterproof product
3/5

The product isn't weatherproof, so it doesn't keep the water out. It's so difficult that I don't know where to start. The stupidity I feel is overwhelming. Water cannot be absorbed by this. Previously, I had seen this item on an other website where it was marketed as waterproof and fully weather-proof. There was no way for me to realize that bit had been removed from the advertisement. Water will not be able to penetrate it even in the slightest. When I learned of this, I would be angry as hell if I had been in Minnesota during a sleet storm or when temperatures were subzero. This should be waterproof, so why isn't it? That is an issue that I would be hard pressed to imagine being dismissed by any ice fisherman I know. We bought this item because it serves a purpose and it was worth our money. There are just so many things that are confusing me. In other words, it's not practical. It'll keep you dry, but it's not capable of keeping you warm at the same time. However, it's perfect for dry climates. I highly recommend this bed because it warms up quickly, has plenty of space, and it is incredibly well Had I not done a trial run on a rainy day in the Arizona desert and discovered this flaw, a mild drizzle and moderate wind completely soaked and soaked through the interior, I would have purchased half a dozen of these to ship to family and friends in Minnesota and Alaska. My sincere apologies. I don't know what to say. I am so It is wise to have.

I love you
5/5

You're so cute. I first want to remind you that it is bigger than you imagined. The second problem is that it is heavier than you thought. In that case, you won't require this item for yourself, so it's not a headache. You can help pull the sled if you bring one. Having never used directions before, I set it up manually the first time in just a few As it turned out, it was very easy. Taking down was a bit more involved, but everything was still very It is made of good materials and is well constructed. By any means, this is not a cheap shack. My gear needs to meet my high standards as an avid ice angler.

Edit I'm pretty surprised by my first impression and I have no buyers remorse. Tonight, I took it out on Mille Lacs Lake, and I am still very pleased with how well it performed. We had no problem keeping warm thanks to a Buddy heater that was provided. There was really no need to adjust anything except the low and medium The insulated model is what I opted for and I am happy with it. I couldn't see any condensation, nor did I hear any The drill bit I got to attach the anchors to the ice is also extremely useful. If you do not get it, it will take you longer to set the shack up than if you put two anchors in by hand. A failure to use anchors is an invitation to.

An item with a pocket for a support pole failed after only one Accessed Amazon in January to buy this item
3/5

It was used only It was set up by my son and me this past week to air it out and clean it. It was found that three pole pockets were actually pushing through the stitching as the support poles were trying to push through. The tent I bought cost over 350 dollars and I have only used it once. So far, I have not received a response from Eskimo regarding photos I sent him. It was very disappointing to see the stitching in the pockets for the support piles. UPDATE The company stands behind their product. You don't have to answer any questions. As soon as Artisam replaced the shelter, no problems occurred. On the same day, a new shelter was shipped to my house free of charge. It is my hope that the new shelter will last.

This is a great shack
5/5

It would be best for me to wait until I had a few seasons with it. A hub broke last year when I used it for the first time. Despite this, I was still able to use it for the rest of the season. They sent me a new hub on free of charge after I contacted customer support. Once it had been replaced, I realized I had lost one of the fiberglass rods. The part had been discontinued, however I contacted customer service and they ordered a replacement part along with spares and a spare hub. During shipping, the item will cost about $27. I was really impressed with the customer service. It has performed well as far as function is concerned. The product has been used in subzero weather with a Big Buddy heater sitting on low, and kept me quite warm. There have been complaints about condensation, but it can be prevented by keeping one door half-unzipped and opening the vents. My condensation problems have never returned since I implemented that technique. I found it to work well for me to use ice anchors on the four points on the sides of the shack where you pull out the sides. As an alternative to tying it down with rope, I use bungee cords. As wind picks up, the bungees make a little give and allow for a little flex, which a solid line does not allow for. It is also easier to set up. It is easy to put up so far, I can do it myself in 5 minutes ( I use a drill to anchor it) Taking the tent down and packing it up takes at most 10 minutes. My final conclusion would be that I would go for another one if this one ever gave up the ghost. I will stick with the uninsulated kit since I don't have plans to sleep in it, and it will keep me warm even in minus 30° Fahrenheit while on the ice. There are 15 hours in the day. Xmas present I got last year was the best present I ever got, and it was ordered through Amazon, after arriving within a few days of purchase. You will love ice fishing with 2-person teams if you like that kind of thing You won't be disappointed with this shack if you have 3 other people with you. The 2-hour tour would be ideal for anyone on a 2-hour bus trip The group is made up of 4 people.

A native Eskimos for the native The older we get, the softer we become
4/5

The thought of being in one of these never crossed my mind. Having ice fished in Northern Alaska for over 40 years, I know my way around the ice. My newfound ability to use one of these is so great that I can't imagine not having My gear does weigh a little, but I use a sled or my Ranger on tracks to carry most of it. I was able to My room is only 10 F, so I use my buddy heater and am very warm for 6+ hours. It does frost up a bit at that temperature. There is more than enough room in this "Cabin" for three big guys to sit on chairs. As long as you are comfortable and warm, the time seems to fly by. There is still a chance you will catch something, even if the fish don't bite. Getting out on the ice is a joy every winter for me Blowing the wind is a good thing! At the end of the third year It has been used 12 times). As we speak, the pocket on the poles is beginning to tear. It is useless to build a shelter.
