Most of the dry powders are more desiccants than floatants, according to my observations. This material, on the other hand, should be acceptable to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

I came here to replace an old dry shake formula that I had lost while brook trout fishing. Fly fishing is something I've done for over 20 years. However, when I used this product while fly fishing in Tennessee, it failed miserably. My flies were neither coated nor floated. I should also mention that the dry shake formula I'd misplaced was of the same brand and worked perfectly. This product that I purchased from this website did not work. It also didn't resemble what I had previously used. As a result, I had to go to a fly shop and purchase the same exact dry shake formula, which worked fantastically on the river. However, the one I bought here did not give my dry flies any positive floatation.
Fish until it sinks with some gink or another silicone floatant. Dry and shake in a Shimazaki bottle, then blow it off and you're good to go. It's the first thing that comes to mind when I'm looking for something to do.
It's all good. It's been used for dry flies, May flies, and some Hoppers in both Pennsylvania and Arizona. Even after catching a few big fish with the flies, it performed as expected. A big thumbs up!.
It does exactly what it says. Dry fly fishing is done with this fly.
This dry powder works well, but it works even better if your fly is dry.
What can I say, this stuff works. I've been guiding for years, and this stuff floats a fly even if the client insists on depth charging it.
