I was given the option of receiving a refund or having it resent. I requested that they resend it. They sent it out as a one-day priority package. In a day's time, it'll be her. They provided excellent customer service. I'm overjoyed with the results. I love the reel; it's exactly what I was looking for.
Overall, the fit and finish are excellent, and the product is durable. But it's a LOT of noise. Click pawl reels are notorious for making a lot of noise, but this one is particularly loud. Simple and easy to care for. I expected it to be a little smaller, but it easily holds 100 yards of 3 wt line and a lot of backing.
It's well-made and a pleasure to use. Fantastic, as you'd expect from Orvis.
I'm not sure what to say. The name Orvis is self-explanatory.
Despite the fact that I'll keep the reel, the description led me to believe that a spare spool was included, making it a good deal. Not in the least.
I'M GOING TO USE IT ON MY SMALL CREEK ROD. LOVE IT.
It's a good, light reel that's well machined, but it's not a five-star reel because the internal drag isn't as convenient as the old Battenkills' knob drag.
