In a competition, casting to spooky fish necessitates precision and delicacy. I've fished with lines that cost three times as much and had poor results. br>This sword line is going to be fantastic to shoot. It's very well-designed and easy to navigate. Changing leaders is a breeze with the welded loop end. You could pay two or three times as much for a line that doesn't perform as well, but why would you do that?.
The first was a 5wt, and its short casting ability was at best, with the line being far too rough to cast well. When I contacted the company, they informed me that they were working on a solution. My replacement line arrived in the spring, and it is noticeably superior. I was so impressed that I bought this 6wt line, which casts beautifully both short and long distances. Excellent service to customers.
Many professionals may disagree, but for the average fly fisherman, this is a surprisingly good fly line for the money, casting well and floats high in the water. I put the welded leader loop to the "acid test" by fishing 15 carp leaders with it, and it passed!.
Casts that are shorter. I use a 7wt glass rod to fish this, and it casts well and has good quality. I'd go with something a little heavier in the front of the line for shorter casts, but you won't be disappointed if you're looking to throw some bigger flies far away. I had to contact Piscifun about a reel as well, and they were very pleasant to work with. Customer service is clearly a priority for them.
I wish that the larger manufacturers would take this approach as well. So when I saw the Sword line on the lawn, I was surprised because it shoots. My 4wt EDGE rod gets a lot of use. It is unquestionably a fantastic line that is well worth the investment in terms of performance. I would recommend that people try this line because they will be blown away!.
I received my line a few weeks ago and have been casting it in my backyard, and as you can see from the 5 stars, I am very happy with it so far. The line has a nice suppleness to it and casts nicely. I purchased the weight forward floating 2 weight line; I have not weighed the line, but it appears to be true to size based on how it casts on my rod. br>br>I have not yet had the opportunity to fish the line, but I will thoroughly wring it out and return to update my review, good or bad, on durability, floating, and fishability. Like many others, I was skeptical of the quality based on the price, but I decided to give the Sword line a shot anyway, and boy am I glad I did. I'm new to fly fishing, but I'm trying it out. "Does it really matter how much a fly line costs or how good it is?" br>Well, the unbelievable answer is "Yes," and Pisci delivers. I had no trouble remembering the line because it spooled perfectly from the reel. My casts ended where I pointed them, and in terms of mid-priced lines, I'd put this line on par with many other higher-priced brands like SA, Rio, and so on, rather than the Amplitude or Gold premium offerings. br>Piscifun (pronounced pea-fun) has won me over. sea. So far, this flyline has performed admirably, and I purchased it based on the overwhelming positive feedback. The line is extremely slick right out of the box, which is fantastic because it effortlessly passes through the guides. Because I've only used it a few times, I can't say for sure how long it will last. The cast performed admirably in terms of accuracy. I should point out that I fish 150 days or more per year, so I do a lot of research before making any fishing purchases. It's worth noting that there's no welded loop on the back that connects to your backing, only on the front. This, however, did not seal the deal. You're ready to go with just a simple nail knot to secure the backing to the fly line. The nail knot connection, where your backing and line are joined and go through your guides, works much better in my experience than the loop to loop connection. I'm sure you saltwater aficionados will agree with me. This review, I hope, will be of assistance.
