As a fly fisherman, I'm not up to par. The rod I tried was pretty similar to the rods I tried for $300 - $450, so I can't really compare the two Compared to other games, I found this game a bit slow, but I liked that about it. It's still nice to have a rod with ample forgiveness, even if I'm not at my best. I am surprised at the quality of materials and workmanship for the price. There is a nice balance to the rod. It felt comfortable to hold the rod in my hand in a position that felt comfortable, and the rod did not fall in any direction. As soon as they started offering this 9' option in the 3/4, I was delighted. It is important to remember that longer rods magnify casting errors, especially for those new to the sport. It shouldn't be difficult to cast this rod, because it has a beautiful slow action, so if you are a proficient caster or if you are just coordinated, it shouldn't be an issue. You'll have to practice casting well regardless of your skill level -- but This rod is quite nice in general. There's no risk involved with this deal and you can't go wrong for $100. Consider the $49 special at your local big box if you're looking for a fishing rod, but know you're getting a fiberglass rod and a single-action reel that is usually made of plastic. It may seem like different rods of glass, but they are bulkier, twitchier, and actually The majority of them also consist of level taper line. This is the first one I bought at Wally World for $39 a 5/6 8' Pflueger. Those rods were very frustrating to learn to cast with I had to switch to weight-forward line. I eventually learned enough to catch some fish but, after trying my friend's graphite rod, I realized how awkward it felt. That is not to say the rod is bad. The rod is decent. It's orders of magnitude better than that one, though. With this rod, I've been able to correct all the small details that annoyed me about my cheap Moreover, it is loaded with quality weight forward line and nice backing right out of the box, so you won't have to spend fifty dollars to put line on the thing after collecting it. Please see below for details about the 12/12/2012 Revocation Notice ******UPDATE****** I have still been very satisfied with my rod after using it for quite a while. Despite the fact that it is loaded with the WF line, it does not seem super premium to me. Although it is a nice line and does slide through very easily, there are a few manufacturing defects in the line that I feel occasionally. Those little bits do not seem to be detrimental to performance, but do annoy me when my fingers feel it when I feel it slide through. As far as other aspects are concerned, this product has held up The product was exactly what I was looking for.
Having tested the rod, I found that its fit and finish was excellent The line must be installed correctly to make it cast well. My opinion on it has not changed since, and I am now considering their 5/6 combo as well. Moreover, the tube of the rod appears to be quite nice. There are even the flies they give you that are worth trying out (I typically throw away any free flies I can get as part of similar purchases, but these were surprisingly good).
The Wild Waters equivalent 7/8 package for steelhead is a fantastic value for such a As a consequence of the quality and value of the rod, I felt confident in purchasing this 3/4 weight for catching panfish and bass this summer. There's nothing better than a handy little setup like this. The AX series rods offered by Wild Waters are of considerable quality, even at the entry level. This reel is made with cast aluminum, not stamped aluminum. The cork around its handle is of excellent quality. The materials are very robust and well-made This rod is built equally well and the rest of it is as well The building has been completed. It ought not to be surprising to hear that the reel you get with the 3/4 rod is not top of the line, but it is very serviceable and is well matched to the rod. It also comes with backing, line and a leader that are set up nicely. As well as an extra leader, you get. In this case, the defendant has successfully- The rod, reel, and fly box are well built and fit the rod and reel There is excellent quality to the fly box and it The 3/4 weight rod would be a good choice if you need to get set up quickly. It is good enough to get by for now, but it may need replacing in the future. What makes this a great value is the rod. It is really nice. As a cherry on top, there is a case and extras.
It performed as expected when I took it out fishing for the first time today (3/3/2018). I managed to cast well within my comfort zone despite a decent wind. I see only one area that can be improved, and that is the The fly line has a loop connection, but this is only a $100 kit versus an Orvis that costs Despite that, I was able to catch fish with it.
The rod is very easy to handle and it is very sensitive. The rod is so easy to use and very sensitive that I took it out for the first time the other day and managed to catch fish. Now I want the 5/6 so I can see the difference between them.
I bought it as a gift for my husband. It is a combination of both length and weight he prefers.
I gave it to my boyfriend for Christmas and he loved it. Although the package and the item were somewhat damaged, the item itself was fine and in good shape.
Purchased this product and was very pleased with it. Fishing in is a lot of fun with this rod, which was excellently made and came with useful items.
