Being new has given me the opportunity to give a more personal review, however, take it with a grain of salt. Being a new rod, it seems to meet all my needs. There have been times when I've caught a large steelhead (28") without ever fearing that it would snap the rod. I like the fact that it is light enough to fish for hours. It seems like a really great value, but I have never tried another.
The rod is great and the reel is durable, so I know these will last Steelhead fishing is made easy with this outfit, which is lightweight and handles well.
