Questions & Answers

What is the total number of packs available?

I selected a single-pack option at a cost of 34. When I choose Packs, the cost is $25. The difference, in my opinion, is that when you select pacs, additional information appears in the description- Origin: United States China. Is there any way to tell if it's of lower quality?

How long is it when it's not extended? Is it possible to store a paddle in a jet ski's storage? (pwc)?

The stow length is 4 feet long when fully extended, and 6 feet long when fully extended.

Is it possible to float with this paddle?

The paddle floats, to be sure. It doesn't take up a lot of room, which I find appealing. And, because it works so well, we were forced to use it when our boat ran out of gas. ☹️

I'm curious as to what this is made of. What's the deal with aluminum?

The shaft is made of aluminum.

What a feat! Our butts were spared thanks to this paddle
5/5

We have an 18' fiberglass open bow runabout with a 150 Merc outboard, and the battery just died, so I had to paddle to a marina that was within sight (about a mile away) with very few people around. Before someone came to help us, I paddled for 1 hour and 45 minutes. My wife and I paddled nonstop for several hours and this paddle held up admirably. The effectiveness of this paddle astounded both of us. I wouldn't recommend trying to paddle a boat this size, but we didn't have a choice and were grateful for it.

I'm not able to line the T-shirt
3/5

With the paddle, maintain a firm grip. This was just delivered, and upon unboxing, I discovered a few things I hadn't noticed before: 1. br>br> The telescoping/locking mechanism is a twist-lock, but when it's locked, the T-shaped T-shaped T-shaped T-shaped T-shaped T-shaped T-shaped T-shaped T-shaped T-shaped T The handle does not match the face of the paddle. When using the paddle, you may need to twist your wrist to grip the top. It also means that if you use the "boat hooks" in the handle while holding the paddle end, the hooks will not line up straight with the paddle (if that's a concern for you). For me, the handle integrated into the paddle face is a nice touch, and I won't be concerned about any efficiency loss. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br It's light and airy. a healthy amount of weight - But there's a cost to that in terms of strength. I have no trouble flexing the entire shaft/paddle face. I haven't tried it in the water yet, but it appears to be able to withstand light or occasional use. My need is for an emergency paddle in a 19' sailboat, so my occasional use between the trailer and the dock will probably suffice, but if you're going to use it for things that require a strong paddle, you should look elsewhere.

It's a great price and it's simple to store
5/5

Paddle is a great addition to your boat's safety equipment. Lightweight, with a fantastic telescoping handle that easily adjusts if you're over 6 feet or shorter like me, this is a must-have for most motorized small marine craft. At the top, you have a good grip. Unfortunately, there is no paddler included with the paddle. (I kid) But it's a great price and a breeze to store!.

After about the fifth or sixth use, the device broke
3/5

We liked it for the first few times we used it, mostly as a hook with no heavy use or extreme pull. Last season, I got it. I didn't have much of a chance to put it to use at the time. During the winter, it is kept inside. The hook end's inner shaft completely separated from the paddle end's outer shaft on its first use this season. There isn't any way to tighten it up again. I tried contacting Sea Sense via their website, which promises a response within 48 hours, but have received no response after waiting over a week. It's a bad company with a useless product. Don't throw your money away. At $25, it wasn't prohibitively expensive. It costs $30, but it isn't worth a dime. Please contact me if anyone from Sea Sense reads this and wants to make things right.

Excellent craftsmanship
5/5

I'm hoping I'll never need to use this product as a paddle, but I wanted to be prepared. I didn't want to have to store a boat hook, so I went with this option. br>It's well-made and folds down to a manageable size. The boat hook/handle aligns with the paddle and the locking mechanism works well. On windy days, it's handy to have a boat hook out in case you need to make a minor adjustment as you approach the dock. It's a good product that does what it's supposed to do.

The blade has a ridiculously large handle hole
3/5

The handle hole in the blade could, in my opinion, have been omitted. Paddling becomes a lot less efficient as a result of this! The handle hole is described as "new" on the packaging, but I prefer the old style! When you're using the paddle as a boat hook, the handle hole comes in handy. br>br>In addition to black and gray, I would have preferred a brighter color. Provide us with a color palette to choose from! Apart from those flaws, this appears to be a well-made paddle/hook. One of those things you hope you never have to use!.

It does the job I need it to do
4/5

On my boat, I use it as a backup in case the engine fails. I like how the blade has a hooked handle, a telescopic shaft, and a handle. This is a fantastic tool to have on hand during the launch. Paddle is made of thin plastic, and using it would almost certainly double the amount of work I would have to do if I ever needed it. Overall, it fulfills my requirements and I am pleased with it.

For docking and rescue, this is a great paddle
5/5

It disassembles easily and takes up little room in your boat. When fully extended, the hook measures about 5 feet in length and is ideal for grabbing a cleat on the dock while docking the boat.
