Questions & Answers
Yes, it's safe to use in an aquarium.
It will provide a watertight seal, but because it is not a strong adhesive, the water flow of a moving boat may affect how well it adheres to your keel guard.
It works below the water line, is non-adhesive, and can be easily removed; however, for a pool liner, I would use something more permanent.
That is what I believe. It resembles regular caulk in appearance.

During the restoration of my 16-foot aluminum boat, I used nearly the entire tube. br>br>Stuff is fantastic because it holds together well and is extremely versatile. I had no trouble drying it; 24 hours was plenty, but I was working in 80-degree weather. The only problem I had was breathing it in, as it has a very strong odor, especially if you're laying down a long, thick bead. It was used to seal the gap between the transom and the splash well, as well as all bolts and screws that went into/through the transom. After a day on the lake, the boat used to have some water in the bilge; now, when I pull the plug, not a drop comes out.
undersea use This item was purchased for use in our pool's underwater area. The description, on the other hand, specifies that it should be used underwater. There is no mention of the product being able to be used in the water. I wanted something I could use to stop a leak while I was underwater. As a result, it was all silicone for me. For a tube of silicone, $20 is a lot of money. To say the least, the description is deceiving; just know what you're getting. I hope you find this information useful. It was a good thing that there were no returns.
It is free in less than an hour and cures completely in 24 hours. " Three days later, it was still tacky. After three days, I took the boat out, and the caulking had picked up dirt from the trailer ride to the ramp. . . and it was still tacky. . . as in, I could still touch the caulking with my finger and the caulk would be on my finger. I used acetone to clean it all up, but it was a complete disaster. Everything is fine now, after a week and a half. I strongly advise you to use it in a clean environment and only when you have at least four people with you. It took 5 days to dry completely.
I initially requested that this be returned because I simply cut the end off the tube and attempted to pierce the seal as I would any other tube of caulk but was unable to do so and assumed it was defective; however, the directions actually state that you must first screw off the tapered delivery tube, then cut off the end of the tube, and then replace the delivery tube. The product then performed admirably, and I intend to keep the first tube.
I was using 3m 4200 to seal everything on my boat, and I was having a hard time getting it out with a caulk gun. I wasn't planning on using silicone, but it's fantastic. I used it to re-seal the doors and windows of my cabin.
It's all good. Because it has a strong odor, I assume it is effective. So far, there have been no leaks.
It's fantastic! I can't say enough good things about the product; it met all of my requirements.
