Questions & Answers
Fluorescent refers to the fact that it glows when exposed to light. That's exactly what this cord does. It would have to be phosphorescent to light up in the dark. So, no.
When paracord is wet for the first time, it shrinks. Getting your paracord wet will have no negative consequences other than that. It also depends on the things you've attached to it. It might break if you push it beyond its limits. br>br>Paracord information: It can support a static load of 550 pounds. This refers to a load that does not bounce, swing, or move. By bouncing or engaging in other activities that add momentum to the weight equation, a 150-pound person can exert 1,000 pounds of force on a line. This explains why climbing ropes have "static load" ratings in the thousands of pounds but "working load" ratings of only 200-300 pounds. The weight is 400 pounds.
The first is number one. Standard paracord is 4mm in diameter, so one is 8mm wide and the other is 4mm wide. Smaller cordage, on the other hand, can be more appropriate than paracord in many situations if space or weight are constraints. A 1. For many applications, an 8mm line with a tensile strength of 100 pounds will suffice.

Because I sometimes return to my vehicle in low light after a hike, I added this to my walking stick. Great for making a darker item, like the wrapped handle of this Esee Izula, more visible when it falls to the ground. br>br>Lights up like a Christmas tree when certain conditions are met. For instance, if you're hit by car headlights at night, it'll work wonders. It would be easy for a driver to notice it, but if it was 30 feet on either side of the beam, it might go unnoticed. br>br>I hope this review was beneficial to you.
I've made lanyards out of it and used it to secure canopy tie downs. It's simple to use and produces excellent knots. The tauntline hitch works well, and the cord appears to be of good quality. It appealed to me because it is sturdy, large, orange, and visible, ensuring that you do not trip over it. It's highly reflective, but only in the direction of the source; imagine a mirror reflecting light back to you, but only if you hold the mirror at just the right angle. This means that if you're walking around a campsite at night with a headlamp shining from your brow, the light from this cord will reflect *extremely* brightly back to your eyes. However, there is no reflection if you hold your flashlight at hip level, and only a slight reflection if you hold it at chest level. It will reflect better when the light is coming from where you would normally hold a flashlight if you're further away due to the angles. When you're 100 feet away, however, there's no danger of tripping. As a result, I was a little disappointed, which is why I only gave it four stars. However, if you want a good-looking, colorful cord that reflects light well back at the source, this is the one to get.
I bought this to use as a leash for my dog. I was a little worried that the reflective stitching wouldn't be as good as it is in some other stores. When this arrived, I was pleasantly surprised, and the reflective strip was gleaming and flashy, making the reflection impossible to miss. Paracord of excellent quality, with the best reflective stitching I've seen so far. I intend to return for a longer period of time. I'm not going to buy my paracord anywhere else because of the quality and price.
I bought this cordage for a couple of reasons. For starters, I needed some brightly colored reflective cordage for some outdoor uses. Second, this is the first time I've purchased from this company, so I wanted to see what they had to offer. br>br>This cordage "feels" like regular paracord, with none of the stiffness that I've noticed with lighter reflective cordage, which should translate to it being very useful. br>br>I gave it four stars because I have yet to use it. The following assessment is based on a visual inspection and first impressions. I'll post an update after I've put the cordage to use in the field.
The rope appears to be of good quality and performs as expected, but the spooling could be improved. The free end of the spool has been securely melted to the rest of the spool. It's not just the coil closest to the end, but also a couple of coils below it. This means that approximately 30-percent of the population will be affected. The outer jacket will be badly damaged 40 feet into the spool. So, if you want a continuous usable length longer than that, you'll have to take it after that length, which will waste a lot of rope. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>I was surprised to see how cleanly the melted end separated. It is safe to use the entire length. Of course, I can't guarantee that this will always be the case.
I ordered this bright blue reflective cord because I needed some new colors for a belt, but what I got was 176 3 strand, which is much thinner than advertised and incompatible with the second color of cord I ordered from another vendor for the belt. The product itself appears to be of good quality; it is 3/32" thick, or just under 1/8" thick. I decided to keep it for future projects that might require something so small, but I was disappointed that I had to order more cord after purchasing this.
I wish there was a way to get a perfectly straight cut. My Cuyco scissors cut more cleanly than my new utility blade.
This was much thinner than I had anticipated, but that is due to my lack of experience. I rarely order paracord, but I'm looking forward to working with the vibrant colors, and I think the thinner cord will make a nice braid. I can't wait to try it out.
