Even on Amazon, the price was significantly less than that of any other product. When I saw the weight of the box of four fenders in the package, I was completely taken aback. Discard the inflator hand pump and needles, as many other reviews have suggested. After three pumps on the first fender, the pump finally gave out. I inflated the fender with no problems using my own electric pump and a sports equipment needle, but I did keep an eye on the shape and firmness of the fender to ensure I didn't over inflate it. The fenders are supplied uninflated and with thimble spliced lines. I ordered two boxes of a four-pack, and each fender now has a line!br>The walls appear to be thick enough, and the reinforced eyelets appear to be well-made. The images below show how they arrive, how they look when inflated, and how they compare to a 5 gallon water jug in terms of size. br>I'll buy these again if I need fenders in the future.
I'm guessing the resin in these bumpers is a highly elastized polypropylene rather than vinyl. However, they look fantastic and should serve the weekend boater well. You can't tell the difference between the cheapest bumpers and the most expensive bumpers from more than a foot away. We'll see how they fare if they're exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
The bumpers are fine, the pump is adequate, but the provided inflation needles are a waste of time. The adapter is LOOSLEY crimped with needles. The needle assemblies are not rigid, despite the fact that they should be. I was given four needles (one for each of the four bumpers)- I was perplexed at first until I looked at the needles and realized why they'd included a handful rather than just one. The bumpers themselves appear to be of good quality, but I have yet to test them in the water. They appear to be leaking a little, most likely due to the inflation valves.
At first, I was puzzled by the fact that these fenders were shipped deflated. Everything worked out fine. I tried pumping one up with the supplied pump, but it was a bit of a struggle, so I decided to use the compressor instead. As simple as it gets. This was a good buy because it came with hanging ropes.
For my 240 Sea Ray SD, I need 5 x 27. Smaller fenders are fine at a dock, but when rafting up to other boats on a regular basis, larger fenders are required when the tie up is hit by waves. I usually use two of these large fenders on each side and a few smaller ones in case something goes wrong, but the 6. 5 x 27 will take care of everything - even in a two Rollers that are 3' long Amazing. Three of my friends have now purchased these fenders as a result of seeing them in action. We're all in a fantastic mood.
The pump is worthless, just like everyone else. I simply pumped them up with my compressor. The bumpers have held the air for several weeks now, so that is good. Ropes needed a little more heat to melt them to hold, but otherwise they seem pretty nice. I'd purchase them again. After a season at the lake, we'll see how they are.
Both of the items were of excellent quality. If I require a product and it is manufactured by Vingli, I will purchase it. It's nice to buy something and find out it's exactly what you expected. The thick inflatable bumpers allow you to fill them with as much or as little air as you need. The bumpers are a dark blue color that complements my white pontoon perfectly.
In general, this is a good purchase - We used the hand pump with caution after reading other reviews - It took some time, but we were able to inflate all four without bending any pins - So far, they've held air without issue in the scorching heat of Florida - Simply don't completely inflate them to allow for expansion - The only drawback is that two of the ropes that came with it were frayed, so I'm not sure how long they'll last, but it's still a good deal.
