Selected User Reviews For Polyform G Series Boat Fenders
captains of small powerboats I just wanted to share this information with anyone who is debating between G- and G+. 4 vs G- There are five sizes available, ranging from 18 to 22. powerboats with a length of less than a hundred feet I bought these Fenders for my 2003 21 foot Bayliner Cuddy after reading many of the reviews here and on the web, and I decided that the G-Series would be the best fit. The best option was to go with a size of 5. WRONG. I'm just too big! And I mean massive! I couldn't put them away because I didn't have any space! Yes, if I were going to spend the day on a log boom at the Hydro races with a boat on each side of me, I'd want three of these monsters on each side of my boat; otherwise, they'd be excessive. As a result, I returned them and placed an order for three G-models. 4 sizes available in a stunning Cobalt Blue. Pulling up to a dock, unloading your belongings, and tying up to another boat in semi-permanent mooring a calm sea, the G- The 4's are ideal because they can be stowed. Excellent craftsmanship. Fender is fantastic. Good value for money.
There's a 50% chance that these things will hold air. I purchased four, and two of them quickly lose air, failing to meet my expectations for keeping an expensive boat away from a dock or when tying up to other boats. The photo was taken about 10 minutes after the previous one had been blown up to its maximum size.
Use G- 3 or G- 4 for a boat that is between 18 and 23 feet long. Based on another review, I purchased these in the G4 size. These G4 fenders are a little bigger than I expected, but they work great. You'll only need two for a 21-footer or smaller boat. One is in the middle, and the other is at the stern. On my 19. I can get by with just one 5' bow rider, right in the middle.
For my husband's 34-foot Mainship Pilot, I purchased this boat fender. He is a passionate boater and fisherman who is particular about the products he uses on his vessel. The fender, he said, was of excellent quality and the perfect size for his boat. The docks where he keeps his boat provide excellent protection. In fact, hubby has made it clear that he wants another. It comes in a variety of colors, but he prefers the classic white. I'm glad I was able to find a good product for my husband's favorite hobby.
I bought these to use when tying up to docks with my new bass boat. These are the soft vinyl that won't scratch gel-based products. coat. I used to have a set of cheap vinyl ones that, after being tied to the dock for a few hours waiting for a tournament to start, the wakes coming in caused the boat buoy to mare up the gel-coat. coat. These are not going to work!.
I tried them out and they seem to work fine; I only used them once and had no issues with them. I only wish there was a rope option available. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> I'd like to make a correction to this item. For quite some time, I've had them on my boat. I have two on each side of my boat, for a total of four. They perform admirably. They hold air, and I've never had a flat tire with them. Some of the boat launch areas, as boaters are aware, have dreadful docks. I've come up against metal, jagged wood, and broken, old rubber with nails, all of which have helped to keep my boat safe. They've been beaten up, but they still have air in them. This year has been the first time I've had to inflate them, but that's to be expected. They're made of a tough, rubber-like material that will last. These are the boat fenders I would recommend to anyone looking for them. They are my favorite.
This is the second set of fenders I've purchased for our 19-foot boat. When it comes to fenders, my rule is to get the biggest one you can fit on your boat and store. I needed something with a bigger diameter, so I ordered the "G-5". 4" multiplied by six equals a total of six. 5" x 22". In addition, I bought a Taylor Made Hull Gard fender in size 6. 5" x 23" and will be returning them because the quality of these Polyform fenders is far superior. This fender is of higher quality than the Taylor Made, being heavier and thicker, and thus providing more protection for our boat. The air fill port on the Polyform G series is covered by a screw with a seal, whereas the needle fill on the Taylor made is similar to that on a sports ball. The Polyform fender's sand color is a nice tan, but the Taylor Made fender's sand color was very light and not what I expected.
These fenders, bumpers, or whatever you want to call them, fit my 27 perfectly. A pontoon boat that is 5 feet in length. Don't squander your cash on a low-cost option. However, these are available on Amazon for a reasonable price. The marina store or boat dealership will charge you much more for the same brand. There are no issues.
