These aren't bumpers made of rubber. Nylon canvas is used to cover them. They're made of a similar material to the rubber ones, so they won't irritate your skin.
There are three of these in my collection. They measure 30" in length, 6" in width, and 4" in depth (thickness). They're a great match for our Key West 219FS. A smaller version is also available for boats with less freeboard.
Although I do not own a pontoon boat, I believe they would be ideal for this situation. I'm very pleased with how well they work on my Hans Christian 48.
The top of the fold (before) is about 5-inches tall. 6 inches in length and 22 inches in circumference Below the fold is a 23-inch space. They measure an inch in length between the small flaps at the top and bottom. As a result, the fender is only 27-inches long. 28" in length

When I launch or dock my 23' boat, I hang three. They provide protection to both the top and sides of the boat. At a marina dock, they were able to save the boat from some very rough boater waves. While other boats were scratched and round bumpers were hidden around the dock and boat motion, these stayed put and provided adequate gelcoat protection as well as shock absorption from the wooden dock rail. I haven't had any issues with them flipping up while docking because I use the motors to get the boat almost sideways at the dock. I use a plastic bow rail clip to hang these from my bow rail. The fenders will stay at the proper length as a result of this. These are better than round fenders in my opinion.
A year ago, I hung these on the two outside posts of my dock. They spend the majority of their time in fresh water partially submerged, about 6 inches deep. I dock my 17-foot bass boat several times a week and bump these. I secure them with bungee cords that need to be replaced every 6 months or so. Great product, well-made, and I'd buy them again if the need arose! I'm not sure how they'll fare in salt water with waves and a larger boat. They do, however, work for me in Margate. br>.
These aren't the best choice for a boat side rail-mounted bumper because they tend to ride up rather than roll with the boat as it moves against the dock. However, they are easy to attach to the dock edge and provide good high-density impact protection, as well as storing more neatly than round bumpers.
It's what we're using on our new 2017 Lund crossover 1875. It's a dream to use. On the sport track, we've secured it with a Lund fender strap. After the small part of the fender lays flat on gunnels, the flap on the fender with the grommet for the strap is a bit long, it folds over. The bumper's top section prevents it from rolling and rising above the dock. After a week on Rainy Lake in docked current, they kept our boat looking brand new. a storm of epic proportions There aren't enough good things to say about this fender!.
Cool idea, but it doesn't work as well in practice. The eyelets are then sewn onto the vinyl fabric, which has ripped out in rough water or on the dock. The traditional rubber bumpers did not rip out because instead of eyelets, they used a molded loop that is an integral part of the bumper. Finally, the vinyl cover collects water and allows it to drain into the boat for about 15 seconds. Don't get me wrong: it was a good idea that worked out in the end, but unless you're parked in a calm covered slip, these caveats will be part of your experience.
Very nice. long. I wish it were shorter, but it makes me feel safer. I don't mind if they stain in the future; they're there to keep me safe.
My hull huggers are one of my favorite pieces of clothing. They also take up less space than round bumpers when stored. FYI, you can use the hinge design to permanently attach them to your dock.
I tied a loop for my cleat at the fold to keep my stats in place while also protecting my gunnel and top.
