These aren't big enough for 50lb mono, and they're too small.
I adore these little guys, and I color-code line lengths and fly types so I can see what I'm up against at a glance. Because I rig my fly and line combos at home, I never use the small compartments. Because the silicon is soft, I hook the fly into it and wrap the line around it; the compartments are small. I can fit a couple of bead heads in each compartment, but only one small dry fly. My 12 Sekasa Kabaris are a tad on the large side. I hope this has been of assistance.
They come in a variety of colors.

" I ordered these expecting to receive a variety of colors, which was fine because I required a variety of colors, but after waiting over a month for them to arrive from China, I opened the package to find 20 red disks. Red disks are the only ones. Now I'm stuck with something that, while technically correct in terms of their description, is practically useless for my needs. It's a shame they don't offer it as a true variety or, at the very least, a color selection option.
OK, I'd like to speak with the Tenkara guys here for a moment. You can get these for a lot more money somewhere else, but they're the same thing. This spool is my personal favorite. I don't use the compartments, instead hooking the fly into the rubber and winding the entire line/tippet/fly rig around it. I have ten items in my bag. There are 12 of these guys who have already pre-registered for the competition. Different line lengths and flies were used to rig the rig. If one doesn't work, save it for a later date and move on to the next option. Light- It is both heavy and necessary.
These are, without a doubt, my preferred method of storing Tenkara lines. They're more compact and slimmer than anything else I've seen on the market. I like how you can keep the line in place by folding the silicon over it. There's no way to deal with your hook accidentally pulling out chunks of foam. It has several small compartments where you can store your hooks. I'm definitely ordering a second set.
Easy to use, with a silicone flap that can be folded over to wind up leaders and then folded down to protect them. They have a place to write what they are (length, weight, etc. ) and the different colors make it easy to find the one you need if you remember which color you used for which leader. If you want, you can even keep the fly attached. It's a great asset to have, and it's inexpensive to acquire. Excellent product; I will purchase more in the future for regular fly fishing leaders.
I prefer to fly a few of these with a tippet/leader, similar to how some people use a leader wallet.
These are ideal for quickly switching between different lines and flies in the field. We usually fish tenkara style because we fish in a box canyon with smaller trout. The fly can be stored in a small compartment in the holders. I don't need to bring the entire fly box, but I can set up a few lines in case the hatch or conditions/fish preferences change.
These are extremely useful to me. It makes my time on the water so much more enjoyable because I can prepare ahead of time. Make all of my leaders and rigs at home, and actively fish with my line in the water. Material is excellent and sturdy. I saw something similar to these for sewing and crafts (Bob eaze, or something), but I recommend these over the craft ones because the snap compartment in the middle is extremely useful and you will use it, and the price is very reasonable for that extra feature.
I hoped the spoils wouldn't be too large. They are ideal for my requirements.
