The knives are adequate for preparing small quantities of fish or other game animals. br>br>The knives don't keep their edge for very long and need to be resharpened on a regular basis. Water, blood, and other liquids can and do get into the case due to the extrusion process. Mine was soaked 5 days ago and is still wet. In other words, you get what you pay for. br>br>In conclusion, you get what you pay for.

13 crappie were filleted right out of the box. The sharpness of the blade and its flexibility impressed me. Outdoor Egde has created yet another fantastic product! I sharpened the knife with the ceramic sharpener (included) for about 3 minutes. After each filleted fish, I repeated the process four times.
I gave these to a fishing/pleasure boat owner friend. He only had a couple of bad knives in his possession. He likes them because they can be stored in a case and because they make filleting simple and easy to keep sharp. Great idea for those who, like me, would like to be invited to go boating more frequently.
