I can't speak for long and skinny, but I believe I ordered xxl and have a normal to slightly above average hand size; I'm not using them for fishing, so I didn't want them to be too tight. Even at this size, they are difficult to remove from my fingers.

Because I have a small hand, I always opt for a medium-sized glove. I wear medium-sized gloves in the winter and would say they run true to size. It's as if you're wearing a second skin when you're wearing them.

These gloves were purchased to aid in the removal of slick mackerel from the hooks. The first fish I caught slid away like a bar of soap. The next two followed in the same footsteps. I eventually removed them and replaced them with a microfiber cloth. The grip was adequate for holding the pole, but not for grabbing the fish, which was the primary reason for purchasing these gloves.

They come in a variety of colors and designs, but I preferred the Stubby version because it's shorter on the hand and only reaches the bend of your wrist, and the palms are super grippy, which aids in holding the rod on sweaty days and when dealing with wriggly fish. I would strongly suggest it!.

This was purchased as a present for my son. Every time he goes fishing, he doesn't forget to put them on. It shields your hands from the sun while also providing that extra level of comfort when casting for bass all day! I bought the other color for my husband, and they are both very happy with them.
