Questions & Answers

The gimbal can be removed, according to the description. Is it possible for someone to elaborate? Also, how big is the oval's inside diameter? The buttcap on my rod is 2" in diameter (large). ?

Yes, the gimbal bolt is the culprit, Fremon. It's possible to get rid of the nut. Your 2" butt is actually ovary shaped and tapers inward; it will fit a round 2 3/16" entrance point, but the taper to bottom is questionable for a 2" butt (depending on the actual butt design). In the worst-case scenario, if it doesn't bottom out, pad it out.br>Best of luck and get caught up!

Is a 2" rod butt going to fit in here?

I used a 2-inch ruler to measure the inside diameter (a sort of "rounded" pentagon) and a 2-inch diameter ruler to measure the outside diameter. It will fit a one-inch butt. a tight fit Because the "pentagon's" bottom has rounded corners and measures about 1 7/8" on each side, you'll have plenty of room if you measure from the top straight down the center. You have about 2 inches horizontally near the center, but the bottom sides on the left and right are a skoash less than 2 inches. The cup is angled downward, so you might be able to fit it if you shaved a little plastic off the sides with a dremel. snugly. I hope this information is useful.

Is it going to fit a waist of 46 inches?

Yes, it'll work. It fits up to a 52-inch waist, and I am a 44-inch waist, so there is plenty of room.

What is the size of a one-size-fits-all garment?

It has a lot of straps and velcro so you can customize it to fit your waist size, and it saves your gonads when fighting a fish, especially if you're using a longer or heavier rod. It's not designed for serious standup fishing, but it's hard to beat for the price.

For the money, this is a fantastic fighting belt
5/5

This fishing belt was purchased a few months ago in preparation for halibut fishing in Alaska. After about an hour of giving and taking, I finally got a chance to put it to use and landed a 136-pounder. The belt did an excellent job of keeping the rod butt in place during the struggle, and it was well worth the money. For big game fishing gear at an affordable price, I highly recommend.

I've bought a lot of flimsy fishing belts, and this one is well worth the money
5/5

I fish for halibut, ling cod, and tuna on a regular basis. So, to keep my rod from digging into my pants or body, I usually wear a belt. What I like about this belt is that it is very well built; the actual belt that goes around your body is wider than the ones I found for this price in cabelas or other sporting goods stores. br>br>What I don't like about it is that it uses a Velcro attachment for tightening the belt; it works fine, but I have a strong suspicion that it will fail over time; other than that, it is great for the price. br>br>The plastic base itself is.

Although it is not the best belt on the market, it is adequate for the price
4/5

Although it is not the best belt on the market, it is a good value for money. I replaced the belt with one from a local Ross store because it was too big for anyone who wasn't severely overweight. The hard plastic area and center pole position are well made and free of sharp edges; however, the pin in the center is not stainless, so we replaced it with a brass bolt from Home Depot. We've used the fighting belt on a few Amber-themed events. It works well with Jack and King Mackerel, as well as a few 5-foot sharks.

This product comes highly recommended and performs admirably

To allow the pole handle to slide into the back of the holder, remove the screw and bolt. I landed a 5'11" black-haired man on my first use. tipped shark weighing in at around 100 lbs. There are no flaws in this product. Every year when we go fishing, we plan on using this. We fish for large saltwater fish every year right off the beach of our island, and landing a big one used to bruise certain parts of our frail bodies. This belt guards against this and keeps you from becoming overly tired.

Fantastic Fighting Belt! Anyone fishing on charter boats will find this to be an excellent choice
5/5

It's just the right size to be useful while remaining unobtrusive. It is comfortable to wear throughout the day. I was initially concerned about the lack of padding on the belt, but I quickly discovered that the thick vinyl material it was made of worked just fine without any additional padding, which would have made it bulkier and more difficult to wear. Angler's Choice is the absolute best! I received my order in a timely manner and found it to be complete. They're a one-stop shop for all things saltwater.

It was inexpensive, but there was no padding, so that had to be added later

There will be no bruises anymore
4/5

This year, while halibut fishing, I received numerous bruises on my midsection from the rod butt as I pulled in large halibut. This product was ordered too late in the season to be used this year, but it appears to be well made, the price was reasonable, and it appears to be very user-friendly. Its Velcro strap makes it user-friendly. Next year, I'm excited to use this "bruise saver. ".
