Is this waterproof to the nth degree?

Yes. One of my favorite rain and wind jackets. As an added layer of protection, I sprayed it with scotchgard waterproofing. The water simply rolls off of my body. I highly suggest it.

It also looks fantastic. I'm 6'0" and 240 pounds, and the XXL was a perfect fit for me. The bottom button/snap was broken when it arrived, so that was an issue. I didn't have time to return it because I was leaving the country and didn't want to be caught without a rain jacket. I used heavy-duty metal locktite for bolts to "repair" the broken snap. Hopefully, everything will stay in place. Aside from that, I think the jacket is fantastic. If the snap hadn't been broken, I would have given it five stars.
