Grundens is one of my favorite brands. Although I am not a fisherman, I am a huge fan of the show Deadliest Catch and noticed this brand name on all of their rain gear. I work outside, and I was tired of coming home soaked because I was wearing a Columbia rain jacket or something similar. Even in torrential rain, I haven't felt wet in this material, which is nothing like a windbreaker. I ordered a large, despite the fact that I usually wear a medium. When I wear a smaller jacket over my clothes, I feel lumpy or overexposed. I like how the large gives me a little extra length in the back to cover my rear end. Hood, on the other hand, does not fly away in the wind. Maybe I'll be able to wear this on a real fishing boat one day - lol.
br>I purchased it in a size that would allow me to layer it with warm clothing on colder days. br>It's very durable and served as a windbreaker on the non-windy days. Rainy days are also a possibility. br>br>To keep the rain and wind out, the hood is adjustable around your face and has a top snap just under your chin. It's also simple to keep clean! The tag specifies that it can be machine washed; however, it should not be dried. br>Next, I'm going to get the rain pants to go with it! This jacket comes highly recommended from me.
For a long time, I couldn't make up my mind about which rain jacket brand to purchase. This jacket is true to size and will keep you warm and dry. It won't be too hot, so it'll be ideal for the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
This was a gift from my husband for my trip to Alaska. So far, I'm really enjoying it. Water beads right off, so it's very comfortable. Unlike most rain jackets, it doesn't feel overly stiff. I only wish it had a fleece material liner because I have to wear a thicker hoodie underneath, and it fits perfectly with the extra layers without feeling bulky.
I bought a medium and it was too tight to layer with. Large has been swapped out. Tuna fishing was a breeze with this! My height is 5'4 and my weight is 150 pounds.
I adore you so much. I'm 5'1" and 135 pounds, and the medium fits perfectly; there's enough room for a sweatshirt, but it's not too baggy if I'm just wearing a t-shirt. I can't wait for it to rain the next time we go fishing so I can use the zippered side pockets to keep my phone and other valuables dry.
The day it arrived, she used it on a drizzly golf course. Thanks.
It's also not as stiff as most rain gear.
