Jeans can be any size, as long as they aren't too loose fitting. Wearing mine with a knit legging is my favorite. Since I am heavily weighted on my hips, I tend to wear what I feel is comfortable under them *br>Hope this helps you with you choice.

I'm curious to know what the difference between the 50 is. Is it worth spending the extra money on these pants and not the $100 ?

We are pleased with our I am in awe of these! The ones I got for my wife are amazing, and she loves A lot of what we do involves fishing and outdoor activities, so it's often cold and She gets very cranky without them, because otherwise she gets very cold and wet! It's nice to have her with me for the duration of the trip

They didn't leak at all and were very comfortable. I wore them only once. The stiffness should not be too great. It was handy to have a cargo pocket on the outside for storing things.
