I wore it on a fishing trip to Alaska in September 2017, and it kept me warm even though the temperature was not below freezing. It appeared to be well-protected against the elements. I wish they had a better cuff to prevent water from getting in. Despite the fact that it was designed for ice fishing, it performed admirably on the boat.

Is the lining of this jacket removable?

There is no lining that can be removed.

Is this a jacket that floats?

Nope, it's just the i-. A certified float suit can be found on the market. But this jacket is very warm and waterproof. I was out ice fishing when it started raining, and I had to drive 5 miles on the wheeler to get back to the pickup, and I was completely dry.

I don't ice fish, but I do work outside and needed a jacket that was both waterproof and windproof. This one is a one-stop shop for everything. Even with just the sun shining on the material, it manages to become warmer. In addition, it is extremely long-lasting.

I got more than I bargained for. It's very comfortable to wear and keeps you warm. I'm 6'2", 245 pounds, and the XL fits a little big, but with a layer underneath, it'll be fine. This rule applies to both the jacket and the bibs!.
