Questions & Answers

When the weather is hot (90+ degrees in Florida), how does this work?

My experience with the autumn weather in mid Michigan last year, when I was fly fishing, was that the weather was about 70ish degrees, so it was prone to building some heat against the The heat would probably be unbearable in 90.

Could this be turned into a bugout bag of the tactical style?

It doesn't really work that way. This worked really well, but the pack got so full that it couldn't even be filled with Nevertheless, it is a really great fly fishing vest (the best one I have ever owned).

Can you honestly say that the bladder is made from food-safe What are the pros and cons of using BPA-free products?

The water bladders in this package are BPA-free

Does it matter how big the dots are?

The shirt will fit a With my height and weight of 6'2" and 400 pounds I find it fits me just fine. I love it!

It is a good trout vest to wear fly fishing for a day
4/5

I have been wearing an old floppy fabric vest that hasn't been working at all. Since I am a petite woman, I tightened down all the straps to the maximum extent. I'm pretty sure it would be too loose on me if I were any thinner- A good fit. One thing I noticed about this vest is the way it hangs The new one is about 2 inches lower than the last one, but still high enough to keep out of the water in all but the deepest parts of the wading pool. I like how comfortable it is. This is a great deal for the money. Despite the fact that there are many pockets, it does not have too many of them. In case you're looking for something super waterproof, you might want to consider other options since only 2 of the zippers are water resistant and the interior is lined with mesh fabric. Features that make this product stand out include Please note that. You can expand the zipper to carry more cargo (overall, you won't be able to fit much more than a jacket, a bladder, and a sandwich in the back part of this bag)
- These two clips are designed to hold your keys to the car
- There are two ripple foam patches included with this set. This is a retractable belt (with Velcro *Here are the reasons why I took a star off Please note that. It's called the ring of the nets or the haul ring There was a very close call with breaking the ring at the top. In order to reinforce it, I had to sew. (At the end of 1 day on the water, a standard net was surprisingly hanging by a few threads. I think it might be good (at least for petite builds like myself) to have a little more adjustability if you want to cinch it down even further. I am - Although the bladder was fine, unlocking the valve (near the bite valve) was nearly impossible, I had to use a wrench. As well, I was unsure if the plastic was healthy and how strong the aroma was. Usually a bladder the size of a liter will suffice however, larger or smaller bladders may work as well). Furthermore, the hose was too long for my liking, so I cut off a segment of it, which was not a big deal. Please note that. It would be nice if one of the chest pockets was just one. My smart phone would actually fit inside and the zipper would work. If it were 5 inches deeper, I would be able to close it. Overall, I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

It's a great value as well as outstanding quality! When I write a review, I don't usually think about the item except when it's exceptional
5/5

The vest meets the required standard.

I have had an old cotton Columbia vest for year and even though the zipper barely operates and the belly clasp broke, I have been attached to the vest's He talked to me about the fishing, and as I looked at him, I noticed he was wearing a Fishpond vest. I hadn't been paying much attention to fishing vests until that day, since the one I had served However, I was instantly jealous of my friend's fishing vest. As soon as I got back home, I began researching the latest and greatest vests from all The Alameda County Fairgrounds hosted the Fly Fishing Show last weekend and I inspected a number of Fishpond vests at the show, which was held over the weekend. This was a really nice piece of writing. I did not like the prices and they were between $175 and $195, though Range of 250 to 300. Additionally, I saw a few cheap imitations with ill-fitting parts The quality of the zippers and the clasps were lousy. Once I got home, I looked on Amazon's site and found this vest, which seemed to have all the features of the high-end Simms and Fishpond vests for less than half the price. Reviews were positive, so it was one of the top Clicking on the Buy button convinced me to proceed. The package arrived a couple of days ago. The vest appears to be top of the line in every way. There are several different kinds of zippers, all of which seem high-quality. The threads should be tightly woven. I will still use a Ziploc for the phone and keys inside the pocket just to be safe since the functionality of this bag is off the charts and even includes 2 "waterproof" pockets. Those two fly holders embedded in the cover will come in handy, I'm sure. With so many pockets on the outside and even pockets inside, it will be easy, even for long days on the water, to carry everything you need. The back water bladder compartment plus the extra storage compartment for clothing layers and a lunch sack will be especially useful. In addition to girth adjustments, there are also strap adjustments for the shoulder. There is a ring attached to the top rear of the bag for attaching There is only one thing I would change That's not enough to give this a lower grade. There is a problem with the included water bladder, which is of poor Despite filling it up, I didn't get water to come out of You will need to purchase your own bladder if a bladder is important to you if you decide to purchase the vest. I have other Camelback and North Face bladders I can swap so keep this in mind if you decide to purchase the vest. The vest is beyond words good for quality, functionality, and value. Except for that minor annoyance, I highly recommend it.

Although I realize it is very subjective, I truly adore this vest
5/5

It is exactly what I was searching The vest far exceeds any $130 vest you'd find at Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop. I was not expecting much for the price, but when I received it I was impressed. There are many people who agree that you can carry too much stuff if you have too many pockets, but I think it has so many options to enable you to customize it to your needs. The backpack area is also padded so you do not have to worry about hitting your back if you try to carry something rigid in the backpack region. The seams are reinforced and there are more straps than you would imagine. The look of this backpack is more along the lines of a hiking backpack. Even the inside of the bag has a few pockets that I haven't yet filled. In order to have so many pockets, you have to give up something, and the thing you have to lose The vest has straps to adjust at the shoulders and at your sides, taking care that you can get a good fit. I weigh 230 pounds, but it feels like wearing a jacket because it keeps you warm. It would be only one thing that I could complain about, and that would be that when I lift up the vest, the shoulder adjustments loosen all the way to the stops, so every time I pick up the vest, I need to adjust the straps to get it The workaround I am using so far is to place the plastic brackets underneath some of the material on the shoulders and so far it seems to be working fine. All I can tell you is that when you wear this and look in the mirror, you will think this is a $250 fly vest and.
