A watertight fishing jacket from Challenger is an unfazed ally when the weather is indecisive. This waterproof and breathable Simms Challenger Jacket features functional fishing features and an adjustable storm hood that helps you stay dry and focused in all types of weather. Embroidered on the chest and back are Simms logos.

Toray fabric technology is utilized in the construction of this raincoat. Specially developed for fishing garments and waders, this technology helps keep your body warm and protected. Designed specifically for heavy-duty outdoor use, the QuadraLam fabric features a heavy-duty engineered construction with a microporous waterproof coating. The fabric is composed of two layers of coated fabric, a single membrane layer and a tricot backing.

WATERING PROOF ANGLER JACKET This angler jacket can work in any weather condition. The zippers are made of water-resistant YKKs. The interior is 100% taped. Fishing in the rain or in strong winds is made even more enjoyable by the taped seams that prevent water leakage. YKK nylon zippers won't corrode over time, which is the reason you should choose them.

COMFORTABLE AND FULLY ADJUSTABLE JACKET This fully adjustable waterproof jacket has plenty of adjustment possibilities. Two drawstrings adjust the bottom, and there is an adjustable 3-point Storm Hood in the collar. There is a center-front zipper Storm Flap, and a piece of chamois is tucked inside the sunglasses pocket. A kill switch attachment loop is also situated on the bottom of the hem in order to improve safety on watercraft.

My clothes stayed dry and warm for about six hours due to light to moderate rain. Keeping in mind that I'm 6'1" 210 pounds, the size large fits just fine. Underneath, there is enough room for a few light layers. In terms of its height, a bombproof, but comfortable above shoulder set up, the collar is a great fit for me, as is the hood. These will make you ready to fish all day in the rain when combined with the bibs. As for their durability, we'll have to wait and see. Great purchase! I'm really happy with it. On this jacket (and bibs), Simms, I believe, hit the mark on price-to-value.

During the January rain in Washington, I wore them all day in the driving rain/wind. As a 6' 200 lb. woman, this is not an issue for me. Furthermore, I wear bibs as well. In addition to the thermals and the fleece, there is room for two flannel pieces underneath. As for the jacket, I didn't get the insulated type but just the regular. I wasn't bothered by the cold when I was wearing it. The main thing is to be A small price to pay in order to keep me fishing on less busy days.

In bad weather, it keeps you dry and warm

The simms rain jacket was my first purchase, and I managed to get caught in an awful storm of hail and rain last weekend. The thin jacket I was wearing when I tested it was designed to get wet from heavy rainfall, but it did well to keep my body dry, and with a hoodie underneath it kept me quite warm when it was windy.

I woke up this morning looking forward to the first day

I love it. This is a gigantic garment for someone who is 6'6" 350lbs. I purchased the 4X and it fits well. One of the reasons I bought one a bit large was to wear a heavy hoodie underneath, and this one is ideal. I'm very pleased with this coat, it's excellent straight from the box, and it fits perfectly. I had hoped for something else, but this is perfect. I will add to this review once I get home from Alaska.
