Selected User Reviews For Frogg Toggs Co-Pilot Insulated Puff Jacket
It's warm and inviting. Can be worn with anything other than frogg toggs. This is something I bought to go with my Pilot Cruiser II jacket. But, unbeknownst to me, the "Cruiser" line of jackets is designed specifically for motorcycles, and thus lacks the second set of zippers needed to secure the Co pilot. Given that most motorcycle rain gear is worn over leather that has or does not have additional armor in the shoulders, back, elbows, and other areas, adding another layer in the form of an insulated liner makes little sense. br>Having said that, I was disappointed that I couldn't zip it up. At the same time, there was no reason for me to write a negative review. "Zips into all Men's Pilot II Series jackets and Dead Silence® camo jackets," according to the frogg toggs website. That included my jacket line, in my mind. I would not have bought it if it had said "Excludes Pilot II Cruiser series jackets. " But now that I've done so, I've worn it for the purpose for which it was created. I was adamant about not returning it. It's because it's incredibly cozy and warm. I haven't worn it in the rain so I can't say if it's waterproof. In any case, it will undoubtedly find a home beneath my fabulous frogg toggs rain gear. br>Excellent work. br>A little on the pricey side. br>However, for great gear, it's well worth it. br>I hope that this information is useful.
Today's delivery was received. It's a tad bigger than I anticipated. The material is a little rough, and it's not your typical puffy coat for everyday use. I'm not sure if the material is any tougher or more durable when it comes to dealing with natural hazards. I had the impression right away that the materials were not of the highest quality. But what does it matter to me? It's a liner, and unlike most puffer coats, it's water resistant. It's also cool because it's reversible and has a different camo pattern. Then I noticed that there appeared to be some quality control issues. Sticking out of the sleeve stitches on the cuff was some of the same cheap polyester stuffing that my dog pulls out of his dog toy. Ok. What difference does it make? It's a liner, in case you didn't notice. My very cool Frogg Toggs Pilot II camo rain coat = 5 stars still needs to improve its weather range. Butt kicks. As a result, I decided to pair them together and zip in the liver. Zip. Right up to the top, the zipper came up and smoothly slid off the top, as if there had been no zipper stop. It's also not going to turn back on. I'll send it back to Frogg Toggs because there's a two-year warranty and Frogg Toggs brags about how good their American-made quality is and how seriously they take their warranty. Still. Right off the bat, there are two quality issues. I'm hoping they thoroughly inspect the new one before returning it to me. I despise having to deal with it. The rain jacket's lining did not fit any of my other coat liners. The raincoat appears to be of excellent quality and camouflage. I hope you guys have better luck with yours. Cya!.
The seller's description is incorrect. This jacket is of excellent quality. "The Co-Founder" is written in the description. "All Frogg Toggs men's Pilot jackets zip into the Pilot Jacket" is incorrect; the Pilot III Jacket is not compatible. The puffy jacket will be kept, but the Pilot III will have to be returned. I was looking for a way to expand my capabilities.
I had hoped to have a puffer this winter, but this jacket is extremely small and appears to be very light for the season.
With this rain jacket, there are no improvements I can think of. I also bought a thermal liner to go with it. Again; The jacket and the body are both perfectly fitted. It has now become a part of my daily routine during the winter months. I've been wearing it while riding my scooter, and no cold spots have appeared. Quality.
I ordered a Large, but it's far too big on the sides. Although it appears to be a warm puffer with a camo pattern that I like, I will be returning it due to the extremely poor fit.
It's what I expected, a thin down type jacket, not enough on a very cold day if you're standing or sitting still for an extended period of time, but I bought it as a layering piece under my raincoat for duck hunting. For that, it's ideal.
This and the pilot rain jacket, which I also own, are both very comfortable. Both could breathe a little better, but in comparison to others, they do a good job and have adequate breathing.
