It reduces a significant amount of noise and vibration. As a result, it gives your bow a little more weight in the front!
Tammie: The primary function of a stabilizer is to aid in the stabilization of your aim by adding weight to your bow. Today's stabilizers also include features that reduce vibration. Because vibration generates some noise, they can perform some noise reduction in that regard. However, if your bow is noisy, there are a number of other factors that contribute significantly to the noise. Visit your local archery shop; the staff will be able to assist you greatly. Most stores allow you to try out different products in order to find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck! Good luck with your hunt.
The threading on stabilizer mounts is nearly uniform. So yes. This stabilizer is only suitable for very old modern bows.

Next season, a friend and I intend to go bow hunting. I have one of the first compound bows, which still shoots well, but I upgraded to a newer compound bow a few years ago when my son became interested, and I bought him a nice compound bow for his 14th birthday. Following a morning of shooting clays (shotguns), we went out to the range with some friends and shot archery. Some of the parts on my original bow needed to be replaced. Rather than sourcing obsolete technology, I upgraded the bisket and optical sights on my most recent bow and replaced them with the original - On my older bow, there are still good parts. Although my older bow lacked a stabilizer, it did have threads for one. I bought this wicked kool stabilizer for my new bow and kept the original for my old one. When we go to the range next weekend, I'll have a great bow for myself and a great backup for my buddy or my son's friends.
So far, I haven't had any negative experiences. It's simple to put together; simply screw it in place. I didn't measure how much quieter my bow became because I didn't use a sound meter. I didn't notice any difference, but it does stabilize my bow, and the extra weight in the front rocking the bow forward relieves some wrist strain. After shooting without a stabilizer, I was able to tighten my grouping quite a bit. If you're hunting, rubber dampeners and sheathing should keep it from clanging on a metal stand, which is crucial, and an all-metal stand would necessitate covering it in felt.
When I shoot, I notice a difference in sound level, though it isn't completely silent. This is a brilliant idea. I'm pleased with it after just one day of use. The only criticism is that between your bow and this, you must use the washer that comes with it. Because I have to remove this every time I need to store it, I believe the washer is too easily misplaced, which is why I deducted a star. My suggestion to the manufacturer is to put some sticky styrofoam on the back of the washer that is the same shape as the stabilizer so that it sticks to the stabilizer but comes off easily when it needs to be replaced (and maybe include a couple more spares since the item is easily lost with the current flaw).
I began by shooting out to 30 yards without using a stabliser. However, as I approached 40 mph and beyond, it became clear that a stabliser was required; anything less than 6 inches is simply dampening noise and vibration. I looked at several different brands and this one, in my opinion, is the best, especially because of the adjustability, which makes it feel like you're hunting out of a blind. In a strong breeze, I can even keep my eyes on the target. The apache is a great option.
Fits inside bowcase when installed on bow, tighter groups at all ranges, one deer harvested at 35 yards with it, buck did not hear arrow coming, and seems as quiet as or quieter than stubby rubber stabilizer. For the performance you get, it appears to be the perfect length, weight, and price.
I like the look and feel of it, but when it comes to sound dampening, I can't tell the difference between it and my stock fuse (Hoyt) stabilizer.
Construction is excellent. If they shifted a little more weight to the front end, that would be ideal. However, there are no issues!.
Great little stabilizer, and the rubber on the end adds a lot of dampening. I have no reservations in recommending this company.
