Questions & Answers

The overall design of the broadhead is great, but I am curious about how it would hold up to big moose and grizzlies What kind of results were you able to get using it?

It is hard to find a better broadhead than the Montec G5. They have worked on deer and elk as well as having pass-throughs. In the meantime, if you are worried about penetration, please choose a broadhead with a single bevel and two blades. Dirt Nap or Grizzly Single Bevel would be an example. The weight and speed of your arrow have a great impact on its overall penetration as well. While most broadheads perform reasonably well at cutting soft tissue, they are only useful if they are fast, sharp, and have the right arrow guiding them.

The tips fly the same as field tips, right?

The field points at which I was shooting were about 6 inches below mine for everything out to about 10 yards It is 15 yards long. It appears that the pins on the other side of my board had to be moved as well. It would have been nice to have a practice tip included.

Just recently, I purchased a barnett droptine str 380fps crossbow and piledriver crossbolts from carbon express. These broadheads look promising, but will they work?

The writer is Luis If I tell you how strong the G-force is, you'll believe me A grain of 5 100 grains I am using a montec broad-based PC There's no doubt about it! In one year, I split my ninth or tenth ribs and still took part in the race -all the air comes out of both lungs The funny thing was that it wasn't just one of those He started to look like he was going to turn and run away, so I took some down-angle shots. One day you will have to take the shot that you are presented with, [or you will kick yourself for not taking it before it is too late. It's all good, I just had to revise My goal was to sharpen the three blades, but I used only a few passes with a fine-tooth file, and the same broad-claw file I used previously One month later, the head is ready to take another big doe! There are lots of great things about it - Please keep your head up! Good luck in the next hunting season! I hope you have a great hunt this year!

Comparing these to Montec broadheads, how do they compare?

Neither of them is bad. As the montec is one solid piece, you have to sharpen the blades if they become dull. A removable blade is included with the striker. Their flying performance is good, as well as their The striker seems to be more quiet to me. It would be wise to choose one of the two.

They are just like field points, and they are deadly too
5/5

Revisions made. Since I moved away from fixed blades to mechanical broadheads, I have been using mechanical broadheads. 4-Strawberry is the only one I've tried The six brands of mechanicals are listed below. The majority of the time, they deploy, and I'm mostly satisfied with them overall, but they are such a pain Every season or multiple times a season, new rubber bands, new keeper rings, etc. I used to shoot muzzy fixed blades if the blades did not come loose, deploy in the quiver, etc. My opinion of them was very positive. This is my first attempt at these simply due to the one piece design, which I think might be fairly robust, and the claims for field point accuracy. As it turns out, they do indeed shoot the same as my field points (or at least very close to). Neither blows a whistle nor does anyone else. As soon as they are opened, they are razor sharp. This company has been very helpful to me. The following changes have been made to the original My bow got fairly badly damaged on the ground when I fell shooting Elk in archery. The sight of my pistol did not appear to have been damaged and I did not bump it, but I decided to shoot it to make sure everything was ok. As it turns out, I'm not the smartest guy on the block (don't tell my wife I said that), and instead of a field tip I used the G5 I was using to test. The bump to my sight was more than I had originally At 30 yards, I nailed the log I had set as my target (12" low). The attached pictures show how the process works. We chopped the log into kindling and then recovered the broadhead, thinking I destroyed it. I was curious to see what it looked like so I looked at it again. The only thing I can say is that I have been The shape of the object has not changed. It was so clean after I cleaned it up that I couldn't even tell it had been shot. Even after cutting through plastic packaging (I used it to open a package of field tips), it was still sharp enough to slice easily through metal. Yes yes I know, I know it's bad practice) but I'm buttering up. Based on what it did to the log, I am confident it can handle bone as well.

At 40, a clean pass through is performed
5/5

You could use these on piledriver arrows to simulate field tips and they would fly After purchasing two sets, I decided to use one as a "practice" head to test accuracy before buying two sets. I flew just as I had in the field. Shot a mule deer at 40 yards 2 weeks ago as it was heading away from me and standing broadside. It has passed straight through, and I know that because I could see it. I found the track to be very simple. In any case, I am pleased with the results. I could tell that these were of great quality and deadly design even before I shot them, with the shiny sharp edges not only up front but also in the back, just in case the bullet didn't I love it! It was just the accuracy that concerned me. My mind was eased by burning a "practice head", then gained confidence by beheading a grouse with that same practice head, then made a quick, clean kill on a deer when it was time. There is 50 pounds of meat in the freezer, which suggests these things are legitimate.

This is a very effective and durable product that is good value for money
5/5

It's been over ten years now that I've been bow hunting, and I've never used another broadhead. Considering their low price and simplicity, I believe these to be some of the most effective broad heads available. Quite simply, 1) they shoot well. This sort of blade shoots almost like a field point in comparison to other fixed blades, especially ones with removable blades. 2) They're a lot of fun to play with! I only buy these because I lose them and the only way I can use them is to take an edge. The arrow I broke hit a rock behind a deer I shot, not because it hit one. 3) they are incredibly Their price is well worth what you get from them. I paid about $10 for them. You can get three for $30.

Broadhead is the best on the market
5/5

A sharp edge. It is accurate. It is reusable. A broadhead that I used for two deer hunting experiences. Ensure that it is sharpened again before shooting it. There is only one and very minor issue they can hiss through the air from time to time. Exactly what causes this sound is not clear to me. Generally, deer do not respond to the sound all the time. As of yet, they do not react to the sound. The doe didn't flinch until the arrow struck brush behind her. When I shot an arrow over top of her, she didn't budge. The arrow and broadhead have been sharpened after being recovered. We are in a ready state for our.

The price is a little high, but the product is Your bow should be tuned for these to fly well
4/5

Considering the fact that this is not anything fancy or difficult to make, the price seems high to me. They are very durable, which is what I like most. A broadhead lodged itself into the backline of a buck I shot a little high, and I think the damage to his spine caused him to drop right there where the buck got hit. As I pulled the head out, it only had a slight bend to one side, I sharpened it up (which by the way is very easy to do with a wet stone) and it flew straight.

The issue on the flight has been resolved

As much as I dislike giving this limited edition broadhead two stars, I feel it is necessary to deliver the message, or at least to convey my point regarding what I expected versus what I Mechanical gauges have been my go-to measuring tool for the last 20 years due to their accuracy when compared Since last year I had a few problems with blood trails on my trails, I decided to go back to a fixed trail this year. The G5 Montec is a favorite among several of my friends who say they shoot like field points. As soon as my pack arrived, I began to dedicate 1 to a practice tip that I got from I shot the arrow in a straight line at 20 yards with no problem. At 30 yards, it hit 2, which was pretty good. This is the fifth week of the month I was 3 inches to the right, so maybe it was me, at 40 yards, 3 inches to the right. This is the fifth week of the month A difference of 3 inches, exactly the same at 50 yards. My fletchings looked out of whack with my blades so I thought maybe it was due to this problem. My arrows (I cut and fletch them) are lined up with my fletches, so I make two broadheads and keep one for practice. I have the same problem. Two things it is what it is and it is what it is I adjusted my sight to match my new broadheads to reduce aiming errors. 3 inches isn't much unless you are aiming through a small shooting lane, so I had to do it As a positive study note, the broadheads are well-constructed and seem to maintain their edge fairly well even after multiple shots into the target, at least they all came out A friend of mine discovered his shot did not work after shooting from more than 20 yards as well, even though he had been shooting the birds for.
