Questions & Answers

Is it difficult to pick up and store wet golf balls? Thanks?

I've never had a problem picking up the ball, and I've never had a problem with damp balls.

Is it possible to use this method to pick up plastic wiffle ball style practice golf balls with holes, or only regular golf balls?

I'm sure it'd pick up the ball, but I'm not sure how the light weight balls would get out of the tube. br>I find that the tube works well for a regular ball. I would strongly suggest it.

When I finally opened it, I discovered that the bottom piece was missing from the box. I didn't realize there was a way to go back. Is it possible for me to purchase the bottom piece?

Look up pro active sports on the internet and inquire about the bottom piece.

Is this a product from the United States of America?

Yes, it is manufactured in the United States of America.

It only lasted a month and a half
3/5

Likes: Dislike: The metal spring at the end that holds the balls in place has worn out. It's made of paper clip wire, and after three months of use (not daily use), it's come out of its hole and won't stay put for long after I re-insert it. Because the end is now open, it will no longer hold balls. Perhaps a thicker wire would extend the life of the item.

Breaking free from the confines of the box I'm going to give the company the benefit of the doubt because it's most likely just one bad apple among many
3/5

When I got it, the black piece at the bottom of the tube that you press to let the golf balls out had already come off. After seeing it, I assumed it was supposed to be screwed, but it didn't. It was supposed to be glued to the tube, but it wasn't done well enough to keep it in place.

After four months, it finally gave up
3/5

I've had this Practice Stick for a little over four months and have only used it once or twice a week, and not in a rough way. It appeared to work fine until recently when a piece associated with the catch tab broke off, rendering the product useless. I looked for the warranty provisions, but they were nowhere to be found. I've included two photos of the catch tab, one on each side. The missing piece can be seen by comparing the two. Is there a policy in place for replacing items?.

It was almost instantly broken
3/5

It was easy to use, and I thought the value was excellent, but Everything was fine after I chipped 23 balls out of my back yard and picked them up. THEN I chipped the next 23 and when I went to pick them up, the "clicker" didn't work and I couldn't pick them up with the device; to put it another way, it broke after the second use. On my next purchase, I'll spend a little more.

The product is simple to use and well constructed
5/5

I've had it for over six months and use it on a regular basis. This is extremely simple to use and eliminates the need to bend over to pick up all of the golf balls during practice. To remove the balls from the holder, I find it easiest to simply release them with my hand. I dropped it on the concrete a few times by accident, but it was unharmed. It also fell off my parked golf cart a couple of times, but was unharmed except for a few scratches. I've used it on wet grass and sandy greens, and it's still going strong. br>Excellent purchase! I'm glad I made the purchase.

It holds 23 golf balls and is perfect for the money
5/5

I purchased mine three months ago and have used it five times since then. Since then, I've been doing it six times a day with no problems. Granted, I'm making every effort to avoid allowing the spring-like feeling to creep in. I don't want the release side of the tube to get jammed into the ground with any force, because I can easily see what other posters have said could happen if that piece fails. (My first order had that piece broken due to flimsy packaging, but it was quickly replaced. ) ) I try to get the tube almost 100% vertical over the balls, as picking them up at an angle is a recipe for damaging the spring mechanism. Basically, this $20 tool has been working flawlessly for over three months, and if you told me I'd have to replace it twice or three times a year, I'd say it's totally worth it at this price.

The design of the trigger release is poor
3/5

I only used this product twice, and the trigger release broke on the second use. The plastic piece that holds the spring in place snapped off, rendering the product useless as a ball retriever device. The piece of plastic that holds the trigger in place, in my opinion, is too thin and weak to withstand the force of the spring tension. This is a product that I do not recommend.

It appeals to my tastes
4/5

This is a tube made of plastic. Because of all of the scratches on it, the one I got appears to have been used. Picking up golf balls is a simple task. Because of the way it's made, the lever for releasing the balls doesn't appear to be very durable. So far, I've only used mine once, so it'll be interesting to see how long it lasts. I paid $19 for this practice stick, which I believe is a little expensive for what you get, but then again, anything golf-related is expensive.
