The grind is represented by the letter C. There's a grind and a bounce to all of your higher-lifted wedges. The c grind refers to the fact that the sole of the club is shaped like a c.
The grip is, indeed, bright red.

Chipping and the short game have always been areas of my game where I have struggled. I've used Cleveland, Titleist, and Mizuno wedges in the past, but this one is incredible, and the w grind has made my short game a breeze. This wedge has even helped me win a few holes. Make sure to select the grind that best suits your needs; I used to dig on chips, so the w grind is ideal for diggers.
I used to have a cheap Wilson sand wedge with a 56-degree loft, a lot of bounce, and a heavy head that I used to hit out of sand or fluffy rough around the green. Regrettably, I misplaced it and was unable to locate a suitable replacement. I took a risk and ordered this Mack Daddy 4 (W grind, 56 degrees loft, 12 degrees bounce) without seeing it first. I only got to use it twice before the Great White North's golf season ended, but it left a lasting impression on me. The club looks great, feels great, and gets the ball up and out of bunkers and rough with ease. It was difficult for me to justify spending $150 on a single club, but this wedge is extremely forgiving and simple to hit.
I can't sit here and tell you all about the technical aspects of these wedges, how the bounce affects my shot, and how the grind puts a certain type of spin on the ball because I'm a mid/high handicap golfer. What I can say is that these wedges are simple to hit and have greatly improved my short game. I started with the 50 degree wedge and was so pleased with it that I went back and bought the 56 and 60 degree wedges as well.
52-degree and 56-degree thermometers were purchased. br>I'm not sure I need to go into detail about how fantastic Callaway wedges are. They were absolutely fantastic for my round today. Excellent spin around the greens, as well as a silky smooth feel on pitch shots. Aesthetically, the red grip is appealing. However, buyers should be aware that these come with Dynamic Gold S200 shafts, which may be an overkill. For some, it's a spec, and for others, it's a low spec for the sake of others.
I was so impressed with the MD4's performance and how it improved my game that I bought two more MD4s after using it on the golf course. I now own the 50-degree (s grind), 54-degree (w grind), and 60-degree (x grind) grinders. I wish I'd had these wedges months ago in my bag. They are fantastic.
I'm not a great golfer, but just the boost in confidence you'll get from using this will save you at least 5 strokes.
This is an amazing club. It's a good weight, has a lot of backspin, and is easy to swing. I would recommend this club for the price, and I absolutely love it, despite the fact that it is my first new wedge.
This wedge has nothing to complain about. This was the icing on the cake for a set of Callaway irons I gave my son for Christmas. This was $40 less expensive than the local pro shop.
